Fortnite is fun but there is this hiccup every time i get into a fight and its bad.

If this game is smooth as butter fortnite will be gone in a flash.

Fortnite runs pretty well on console and better than PUBG on PC but the combat of PUBG is much better.

I think MS is going to hold it down as long as possible till pubg is playes out then let it go for the next big thing.

I had this problem for a long time as well. Everything is buttery smooth until you actually engage with someone else, then it feels like all of a sudden the game is trying really hard to do something. It's usually a combination of pronounced network lag, then sputtering framerates. Last week I was playing and as soon as I snuck up behind someone within 10ft, as soon as I squeezed my gun, framerate literally dropped to 1-2fps which big freeze spikes in between, about 10 seconds later I was dead. I saw none of it.

It doesn't happen every time I fight someone but it tends to happen at least once every other game; maybe not always to that extreme but when it does it's enough to hinder gameplay.

It’s annoying as f***... it’s almost to the point that when it starts lagging I know somebody is getting close.

If the game didn’t have the lag it would be epic.

Nope way to many cheaters...same with fortnite on PC..

That is your master race there buddy.

Lol, definitely not my master race. PC definitely has alot of advantages over console but I'm super critical of it in terms of multiplayer. Not sure why it isn't discussed more.

In the PC version you can do things like turn down the grass so people can't hide in it. On console everyone will be at the same settings so it should be a more even playing field. Not sure how it will go if Vanilla Bone runs with less dense foliage, though.

I have no idea why this doesn't bug the hell out of the PC master race. It's the same thing in Fortnite.

I prefer my multiplayer shooters on console even though I have PC. Playing on PC means running into cheaters and/or people who are so insanely good that they may as well be cheating. People call consoles casual like it is a bad thing - more casual is exactly what I am looking for.

I just don't understand the concept of not enjoying a victory when you give yourself artificial enhancers. Like, it actually kills the game's design when you can do stuff like turn down the foliage. It removes an entire layer of strategy and tension. The problem then becomes that you have to turn that stuff off to in order to level the field. Now your game looks far worse than it could, and a very big component of game-play is lost.

This game has a massive cheater problem at the moment on PC and that's quite a shame since otherwise the game is great.

I’m with you. Being a console gamer for me has never been due to cost. It’s the closed online gaming and simplicity of it for me.

That’s to bad. One good feature of consoles is the control over cheating.
