I really like how effective hiding in the grass can be. It's an actual mechanic! That's why this game is so amazing!

That won't work on the ddesert map. The end game in the dedert is going to be fast and hectic, no snaking through the grass like 99% of p'layers doo now.
 
Played with @zycthe and his buddy last night and had some crazy matches, we even pulled...

I got to 3rd today in solo... Man my hands were shaky afterward...

I really wan't more chicken, problem is I suck at gunplay.

Think I'm just guunna use solo as gunplay practice and always jump in high risk zones. If I hear gunshots then I'm getting involved.

Below you will find quality of life fixes, as well as our efforts to resolve known memory crashes, and incremental improvements to performance.

Given the complexity of some of the crashes that have been logged, we know there is still work remaining in order for us to reproduce and address all remaining issues. Crash fixes, like all areas of the game, will be something we continue to improve upon as part of our Xbox Game Preview roadmap.

Gameplay
  • Aim acceleration can now be adjusted by players via in-game option
  • Player weapon damage has been increased against vehicles. We will continue to monitor player feedback and telemetry and make further balancing adjustments as needed in future updates
  • FPP Solo matchmaking queue will be made available for NA/EU/and Oceanic servers. We will open other modes within those regions as concurrency allows
  • Fixed an issue that caused indoor lighting and shadows to appear too dark and blueish
  • Analog stick acceleration added while exiting the plane and while parachuting
Optimization
  • PhysX performance enhancements
  • Server FPS slightly increased
  • Client FPS slightly increased
  • Some VFX received slight optimizations
Option
  • Music on/off option added
Bug fixes
  • Addressed a number of known crashes
  • Fixed a UI issue that occurred when multiple players attempted to loot from the same source

The servers will be in maintenance from 1 AM PST / 9 AM UTC / 6 PM KST in preparation for the new patch. It will take about 30 minutes.

Please close the game and update your client. Apologies for the inconvenience.
 
TLDR:
-First Person Servers for NA/EU/Oceanic
-You can turn off loud asf music
-Weapon DMG versus Vehicles is buffed
-Aim Acceleration options added, sensitivity settings for parachuting camera added.
-framerate slightly optimized.
-some crash bugs fixed

Is this all server side or will there be a client patch as well.
I like the damage increase against vehicles. That should hopefully reduce the amount of cars in the end game. FFP servers is nice to. I’ll have to try those.

Both server and client.

Like before though, it's so big you might as well uninstall/reinstall to be sure the patch works properly.

I hope it takes care of the crashing. That's my only real issue right now. It crashed twice this weekend during a firefight.

Not a bad Idea. I'm not really good at gunplay either. It really comes down to being situationally aware and taking the better tactical position.

FPP servers. f*** yeah! Gunna go try that A.S.A.P.

Not for me. For me the issue is being s*** at shooting folk.
 
You have to double tap the left trigger to aim down sights in FPP. How does that make sense?

Or shooting at all as you enjoy a leisurely drive in the back, refusing to return fire because you can’t hit anything while I desperately try to evade those chasing us and melting us with gunfire. You’re the PUBG Driving Miss Daisy.

You have to double tap the left trigger to aim down sights in FPP. How does that make sense?

It works two ways.

1. Single tap to ADS and leave it in ADS. Tap again to return to 3rd.

2. Double Tap and hold left trigger to ADS and have it release back to 3rd as once as you release the trigger.

I'm talking about in the new FPP only mode. it should be hold left trigger for ADS and let off to not ADS.

Ah. Won’t be playing that until later. I wouldn’t be shocked to find it’s got another crazy controller scheme.

Returning fire with you driving is pointless, is only matter of time until you kill us
 
What is FPP?

I don't know how I feel about the weakening the vehicles. They don't seem particularly durable as they are. Seemed just right to me.
In solo/duo a buff was needed. In squads you could destroy a car so quick already.

But you could maybe delay it a little even trying to fire? Just wave your bloody gun at them FFS! Do anything but sit in the back and drink a nice cup of tea!
 
FPP seems to only be limited to just Solo Queue at the moment. Maybe they'll roll out the rest throughout the week?

It's pointless and just a waste of ammo 99% of the time. So no, not even trying.
 
How big will this game be when it’s all said and done? I remember thinking on initial install wow....this small. I bet it has tripled in size with the latest patches. I imagine was they polish it up it will become bigger also. Add the second map and bigger still.

Game hasn't gotten bigger. They haven't added anything yet. All the patched just overwrite old files.
 
I can’t wait till FPP squads.....can’t wait.... game seems to be running faster for me
