Sony at E3 2017

Didn't see a thread and its now the day of the show and no I'm not talking about MLB the show!

Will they show a portable?
Will 2K show up with some surprises..Bioshock,Borderlands or a new Midnight Club?

FromSoftware is working on 3 games..will Bloodborne 2 be shown? What about the rumored wail game? Armoured Core anyone?

Maybe Rocksteady's Batman will show up?

What time is this on? Do they stream it stream on PS4 like MS do on xbox?
 
Sony starts at 6 pm pacific time tomorrow but man it's during the Warriors/Cavs game.
 
If any rumors of Sony pulling big exclusives from 3rd party western developers is true and they drop the Pro to 350, this E3 will be extremely lopsided.

As much as I love competition and prefer Xbox platform, the business side of this fascinates me. If Sony is aggressive, I think they could essentially kill Xbox brand in the next couple years unless Microsoft wakes up from this loligag daydream they're in. Microsoft is still arrogant and even as one of their longtime customers, I'm kind of hoping Sony crushes them this E3 and through the holidays just to see if they'll finally fight back. Fact that Xbox is touting how well they're doing despite doing so many things wrong this gen show me they need an even worse ass whooping to wake up.

So Sony do Xbox gamers a favor and beat the **** out of Microsoft.
 
Sony has been left an opening to score by MS. If they are smart they can drop the PS4 500 to 199, PS4 1TB to 259, PS4 1TB Pro 329. Since the Pro is not their main seller, they can easily have the other two cover the slight loss of the few pro's sold. The X1X not being 399 really left MS open for a price undercut as the gap between the S and the X is simply to big pricewise.

When it was announced you could see Phil hesitating and not liking it, almost as if the higher ups forced him on this price point.

Yup, it needs to be a slaughter so Phil can go "Damn! We need to lower the price on that thing or add plenty of pack in games!", as it looks now it is dead in the water. Everything wend well with conference until the price point, that was the "le sigh.." moment.

This..I completely agree. If Sony kills it with their conference with story driven exclusives this will be the 1st E3 where I completely (and gladly )give the win to them. MS is driving a monster but sleeping at the wheel.

I see them announcing more of their PS4 games playable on Windows PC via PS Now with a release date as well.
 
I predict lots of "in-engine" video and many discussions of if that means "in-game" or "actual gameplay."

I hope Sony has a monumental show. I want to be completely floored by what the Pro can do. Since there's no 4k stream, I won't know if I'll be wowed until I see some 4k media. What I hope they don't do is mention PlayStation 5. It would be stupid and a meaningless talking point, unless it's coming in 2018, and I don't mean delayed until 2019, but actually coming in 2018.

Sony really needs to concentrate on VR and show they're behind it with 8-20 exclusive games and it hasnt flopped.

They should give us dates for FFVII Remastered, Shenmue 3, Detroit and Dreams and avoid repeating footage of games from last year like Spiderman and God of war and Days Gone.

They should announce free streaming of PSnow games to anyone with a physical copy and how they intend to match Xbox Ones 3 generation library.

They should definitely show something graphically impressive to contend with Forza 7 and Anthem to prove the PS4 isnt old hat.

Lastly they should announce 2-3 games as their big holiday lineup .

Agreed. They might have dropped price if MS announced the X at $399, but the Pro looks good right now. I wouldn't be shocked if the Pro got a price drop sometime in October though to stick it to MS.

The next wave of VR games are coming don't worry. A dev from Santa Monica already confirmed they a game in the works for the next wave of VR titles.
 
I want a controller similar to the Elite. I'll even accept the thumbsticks being where they're at. Just give me programmable inputs and paddles.

If I get that, Sony gets a lot more money from me this year. I have a lot more unexpected money in my gaming budget since Red Dead is pushed to 2018 and Microsoft no longer publishes big budget games.
