Lol, I love Sean Hannity. To the rest of the world, these goals would seem like a logical progression for their society...

That, and his profile photos on social media are typical of every blonke on Tinder who is approaching 60. "Yeah, this is a pretty recent photo of me..."

This is the problem though - many of those things scare the hell out of about half of the country right now.

All a brainwashed Faux News conservative sees is spending spending spending. The Republicans will counter everything on that list with "but... the deficit" while giving the rich more tax cuts and not paying for them.

That's what I was saying before. The Democrats have the platform, but they need to brand it differently. Sadly, just because it is the right thing to do isn't enough to sell the brainwashed conservatives right now.

Well to be fair she didn't get much support from the party so its not like they embraced it

I think all of those things sound good in theory, but how are you going to achieve all of these things? Higher taxes? Cut the military? Higher corporate taxes which could lead to companies leaving the US?

It's easy to just create a bunch of talking points that are aligned with the tide of popular opinion.

What's wrong with cutting your military budget? Have you seen how much you guys spend compared to the rest of the world?

And if you returned corporate tax cuts to where they were before the election, isn't there automatically like, half a trillion back in the budget?

I didn't say anything was wrong with it. She just needs to provide specific solutions.

Look, she just won a historic primary victory, let's not expect her to be the first politician in hundreds of years to actually have a plan and admit to it.

Did she mention those elsewhere? I don't see those on the list in that pic.

No, I'm just throwing that out there as possible budget cuts if she is looking to achieve universal healthcare and free higher education. Broadly speaking, I would just like to know how she looks to achieve those things economically.

Got ya. Military budget should, and would need to be, augmented. Also, corporations were't leaving before this idiotic "tax reform." We need to remove all of the corporate tax breaks they just got. Universal healthcare would be great, but I don't see it happening. The profits in all healthcare, hospitals, prescriptions, etc., need to be taken out. Providing healthcare to someone should never be a profit making business. A visit to the doctor for a checkup should never be billed as a $900 visit. Hospitals, consolidating of hospital networks, drug companies, are all responsible for the outrageous healthcare costs.

Agree. The corporate tax breaks were absurd, but turns out the biggest offenders aren't really paying taxes anyway. We should roll back Trump's tax cuts and also revamp the laws to ensure companies like Apple can't circumvent paying their fair share (I understand it's not just them).

I think the free higher education is actually very achievable as long as it is done via free online classes.

That's a very fair question, but one that the Republicans never answered with their massive tax cuts, increased military spending, etc.

Both sides obviously need to deal with this, but if you notice the "deficit hawks" only squawk when the Democrats want to spend. Suddenly you never hear the "d-word" when Republicans are in power.

John Bolton just did a complete 180 on his Russia stance after meeting with Putin
US national security adviser John Bolton once said that Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election was "an act of war" against the US and warned that the US could not trust Russia.
On Wednesday, he told the Russian leader: "We are most appreciative of your courtesy and graciousness."
Bolton's comments came after he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin ahead of a highly anticipated summit between Putin and US President Donald Trump in July.

Special counsel eyeing Russians granted unusual access to Trump inauguration parties

Several billionaires with deep ties to Russia attended exclusive, invitation-only receptions during Donald Trump’s inauguration festivities, guest lists obtained by ABC News show.
These powerful businessmen, who amassed their fortunes following the collapse of the Soviet Union -- including one who has since been sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department -- were ushered into events typically reserved for top donors and close political allies and were given unprecedented access to Trump’s inner circle.

Their presence has attracted the interest of federal investigators probing Russian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election, three sources with knowledge of the matter said.

Matthew Olsen, a former senior national security official who now serves as an ABC News consultant, said their presence at inaugural events is “very concerning.”

“This reflects a Russian strategy of gaining access to our political leaders at a time when they are just forming a government,” Olsen said. “They don’t need to be spies in the James Bond sense. They are powerful people with significant wealth who are in a position to exert influence on U.S. policy makers. And they’re in a position to report back to Russian intelligence services on what they’re able to learn.”

FAKE NOOZ. Also, if anyone remembers, the money that came in for his inauguration was insanely higher than other recent president. They also said a lot of that money just kind of disappeared afterwards.

Do you follow Kathy Griffin or Rob Reiner? They post the funniest s*** about him.

I had to stop following Kathy Griffin, her constant whining about sexism got to me. That Trump picture thing with her was blown out of proportion but she also has continued to try to play the victim in it and she completely ignores the fact that she brought the whole thing on herself. I miss old non psycho dick joke Kathy lol.
