The Official E3 2017 Thread

Right. There is rage, and then there is douchebag rage.

p.s. That would would make a cool E3 announcement, as a sequel to the 2011 id game. Douchebag Rage. I'd be okay with them using that line in the trailer (deep voice): "There is rage, and then there is douchebag rage."
Yepper, DB rage! Kratos is the poster boy!

Anyone see the Assasins Creed leak from GI? Sounds really good on paper. First time I've been interest in AC in a looong time.

I loved both Unity and Syndicate, so I've been having withdrawals from AssCreed. The setting with this one has me super excited.

Seems kind of bonkers to think that this has been a work in progress since before Unity was even finished.

I hope they bring boats back in some way. Heck, I'd love a direct Black Flag sequel/parallel story.

Really? Haven't seen anything about that yet. Sounds interesting. I'll wait to be surprised at E3.

AC Origins info from GI

Ah, good. I was hoping the new Bioware project would get a reveal. Hopefully it's not a lot of footage of guys working on computers, talking about how excited they are to be working on the project.

Ok, a few more things for the MS conference:

-Expect an Elite 2 announcement....with Bluetooth.
$149

-Ori 2

-Oversampling and 4K upsampling demo for Scorpio

-Looks like Sea of Thieves will be next year release.

-I'm doubling down on Scalebound being picked up by another studio...but I don't think it will be shown this year

Battlefront 2 looks awesome, can't wait to play it! I applaud them for trying something different with a split screen only game even though it doesn't appeal to me, I also applaud them adding more to their sports titles with those story modes. I thought NFS looked like it could be fun but the voice acting was awful and it got on my nerves in the short time they showed it. They really need to work on cutting down the talking time, the only person on stage worth a damn was the actress from Battlefront 2.

After the mess that is/was ME:A they better not be showing something before it's ready again lol. Sadly the game got quite a bit of a visual downgrade between when it was first shown and it's actual release.

Will frostbite hurt the development again?
If that ME article is accurate, Frostbite does best with shooter games..... fast paced, simple controls, as little inventory, complexity, NPCs and animations and dialogue trees. Just focus attention on simple gameplay, and combine it with scope of maps.

And that goes against what EA/DICE and all those Swedish blowhards were promoting when Frostbite first turned up last gen.

At that time, it was all about complex physics, big scope of destruction, and whatever you threw at it it could handle.

Not surprisingly, promotional BS. Frostbite isn't as good as it seems, and not suited for all games.
