Sweet baby Jesus! Is that Soul Reaver?
I'd love something along the lines of Blood Omen 2 again, I really liked playing as Kain. I had friends that weren't even into video games that liked playing that game.
Sweet baby Jesus! Is that Soul Reaver?
Hope we get some awkward and embarrassing E3 moments. Those are always fun.
Unfortunately, as the field gets bigger, the presenters are getting more professional.
All we got last year was guy-with-turkey-leg.

If Pro was in danger or PS5 was coming next year maybe.Pro at $249?
I do agree with his statement that PS4 owners should buy a Scorpio and X1 owners should buy a Pro as opposed to simply upgrading.
Holy motion sickness incoming for everyone.
Well that would make using the Xbox an even more substantially larger player base to play online with.I heard a rumor that there will be some games crossplay accross all platforms except PS4. That would be interesting. Microsoft may be trying to put pressure on Sony to allow crossplay...which would obviously benefit Microsoft and not Sony. But if MS has made a deal with Steam....could be great for the community. I have some friends that only play on Steam (no consoles) so it would be great to find something to play together.
Yeah, they don't need to worry about pricing too much unless by some miracle scorpio becomes a top seller well into next year, it'll do well early on no doubt about it. PS4's and Pro's are still going to sell well regardless of how well Scorpio does, they just don't want to make it easy for MS to take over a lot of 3rd party software sales. I'm guessing that's one reason they seem to have gotten even more aggressive on marketing deals the last year plus.
Oh lawd. As if the game was EVER going to be comming out this year, let alone next year. Now we know why it was not going to be at E3 this year. Got to spend more time on it. Should be interesting to see how it plays once it hits Windows:

Games? Well then drag that b**** out for an extra hour IDGAF. Do it Microsoft!!
How come when i say these things i'm just being crazy? I've been watching the same three threads for the last 2 days with you guys debating the direction of the Xbox brand to no end but i make 2 posts and everyone goes nuts.
Yeah, though. I agree with you. That's why i always say, for all the PS games i play i wouldn't trade half of them for Gears of War 4. Gears is my bread and butter. The time sink that i need. I'd rather put hundreds of hours into a game i love than break it all up into multiple games if i had the choice.
This is why i love both platforms though. Xbox One and PS4 offer two totally different experiences to me and i wouldn't have it any other way. It would just be nice if Microsoft put more effort into first party and Sony could figure out how to create a multiplayer game that has legs.
Yup E3 for Xbox might win another year it seems. They have the games, the hardware, the graphics, the performance, the controller and the online multiplayer.Games? Well then drag that b**** out for an extra hour IDGAF. Do it Microsoft!!
The way I see it Sony has better balance of both experiences. Fighting game players will get Playstation. Baseball fans will get Playstation and people love GT. Third party devs cover the shooting genre well enough while Sony has great single player experiences too.
No matter your how you you spin it the last major hit on Xbox is Gears. Meanwhile Sony has had 4 major new IP's since then.
Coming from someone who has very little preferences the Playstation is a better all around console. The Xbox is only good for people who are specifically into multi player.
Big difference between gaming back then to now:A self-described "industry cynic," talking about the similarities between the 16-bit era and today:
"Long story short, this time period [the 16-bit era] seemed to focus too much on technology and not enough on games. All I wanted out of the industry – all my friends wanted out of the industry – were games. The magazine pages once filled with previews of new games began to focus more and more on hardware.
[....]
"With E3 2017 just around the corner, I fear more of the same. More discussion about new hardware that will already be outdated in a year than a focus on the games for them. I really hope I’m wrong about this and that I’ll walk in there only to be wowed by some fresh game concept that will remind me why pre-order programs exist in the first place. I really hope that I can walk in there and not come out with the same unimpressed vibe I felt last year. I hope I can see an industry that is once again focused on providing wonderful and groundbreaking game play experiences, rather than continuing to hype the boxes that are supposed to run those experiences."

Unlike him, I was very happy with last year's E3, I enjoy my Pro, and I'm interested to hear what additional benefits Scorpio brings to the table. But I agree with his overall feeling that constant talk about hardware is not what I want, not what I'm primarily interested in.
I'm going to be cliché here, but to me, it is always, ultimately about the games. That's what I'm interested in hearing about, much more than the boxes we run them on.
