The Xbox Onesie

Hey Ms, How about making a good game that sells well and makes lots of money?

In all fairness, it's tough to make a great game. Takes a lot of talented people, a strong vision/leadership, and a long time. It's sort of like telling a songwriter, "Hey, why don't you just write a hit song?" It ain't easy.

I'm aware man. They simply showed the logo at the end of the 2014 conference. They showed it at the end when they cycled through a bunch of the logos. I distinctly remember the dialogue from people "surprised" that it was all that was shown. See for yourself though, tired of repeating myself.

Yeah that wasn't the gears ultimate announcement which was point it was just a reminder that MS own the gears IP.

Like halo 5 being on it but they showed the MC collection because that was the title ready top be shown.

Fuking finally!

I like that to you thats an excuse for them barely trying.

You once called PS4 owners stupid because in your mind X1 games were so obviously superior so how could anyone buy a PS4?. What happened to that guy? Now its "Well its hard to make games".

I'm sure McMasters still thinks PS4 owners are idiots. He just has a different reason now.

.
Yeah- but each of those games are passion projects to each of those studios. It's a false narrative. Turn 10 has zero ambition to build the next Halo and vice versa. Forza 7 doesn't look tired at all either. Rather it looks amazing. However GT Sport does look tired and behind the times. I can't imagine what the upgraded native 4k Horizon will look like either.

Both series look tired to me, of course I don't really see the need for a sim racer to be released every other year. I'm not a racing game fan though so to me it's all pretty much the same, I know the same could be said for other types of games as well but at least you get stories, character personalities, animations etc, these sim racers are just get from start to finish as cleanly and quickly as possible. I much preferred the burnout style racers where some combat was involved too. I'm glad they make these games for people who like them but as a casual observer it's hard to look at a new Forza every other year or a new GT every 5-7 years and think "oh wow this looks like something new"

Wow! The beginning of this gen Sony had very little. MS had plenty.

Sony really didn't have very little it's just something you guys kept saying. We had Killzone and infamous in the first couple 5 months. Xbox fans and some in the media just seemed to be stuck on this idea that if a game doesn't come out in the fall it doesn't count, Sony seems to release most big games in the spring lately.

Forza 7 is arguably groundbreaking. It's native 4k at 60 FPS. That's definitely new ground in the console space. It also earned a ton of accolades coming out of e3. People will buy the game alone just to showcase the new console and their 4k television.

It's not groundbreaking at all it's a prettier version of an xbox one game lol. It's also the ONLY exclusive they have that actually shows off the new $500 console in any way at all.

Forza 7 looks fantastic. Hoping the reception and probably poor sales for GT Sport give Sony and Polpyhony a kick up the bum as MS has been deliver consistently top racers.

This is awesome especially since I got 2 copies of G4 and 2 season passes(me and my son)

Yeah- I expect both of those games to have second legs for those new to Xbox and those who are not but haven't purchased either. I expect Horizon to be insane.

Going by the beta... H3 is the best racer I ever played...Still haven't bought it yet but new content is even more incentive :)

Gears was huge last gen and with them continuing strong support they could relaunch the game for the new Xbox owners who are old ones returning due to X.

"In any way?"

That's a stretch. The specs for these games are above what a pc or ps4 pro can achieve for $400-500.

You are trolling now. The ONLY exclusive? Hotizon and Gears will be getting updated.

Ok let me rephrase it, the only NEW exclusive that's coming this year, now you can't bring up future games not announced yet either lol. C'mon state of decay looks average at best and the animations are going to kill it, Crackdown 3 doesn't look good at all and I've seen the gameplay the textures are pretty bad, I know it's cell shaded but it still doesn't look good. That "tech demo" they showed for the cloud destruction years ago looked better.

Crackdown 3 looks and plays amazing. More innovation going on in that game than all PS4 exclusives put together. Hey, if you are a graphic hoe for scripted TLOU clones and dad of war etc that's fine, don't have to be an arse. Some of us love our XB exclusives even though it's a dry patch this holiday. The multi plats will more than make up for it. Besides will be better on the X than Faux4.

It's just JinCa"s opinion.

Some of those games do look a little rough though. But there's still time to polish them up a bit. Plus gameplay> graphics.

LOL This response is hilarious, innovation in crackdown 3? a game that looks like a launch title and plays basically the same as the original version. If you like that art style that's totally fine, everyone has different tastes but it sure as hell doesn't look impressive on a technical level, the textures are low quality and the lighting is flat. You better watch that faux K stuff, most of the X1X games shown at MS's show were not native 4K either.

True but three years after it's announcement crackdown 3 isn't looking all that impressive on a technical level, I doubt much will change between now and release. That doesn't mean the game won't be fun, it probably will be but I don't look for that group to be able to do much more with it at this point. I doubt state of decay 2 will get much done either simply based on what their fist game looked like. I'm guessing it's still a small studio working on it and this project seems like it's quite a bit bigger than the buggy/janky first game they released. Sea of Thieves art style will probably keep it from doing much more graphically either, I really wish they had gone with a more serious look but that's just a style preference, the water looks nice when it starts getting choppy but the characters just look like they are from any random free to play game.

I think Sea of Thieves is gorgeous. Hell I don't even think the other two look that bad outside of animation.

Maybe I'm not the graphics whore that I thought I was.

You realize this is all your opinion? A well known Sony fan who'd rather die on a sword than admit something on Xbox is better than Sony machine. For example, if Crackdown does what's advertised with multi player, it'll spank the s*** out of anything on the Pro with all certainty. I am speaking technically. Can't guarantee the game play will appeal to everyone, even though it still looks very much like the Original Crackdown - which was a s*** load of fun.
