I liked TF1 a lot. Thus far I like TF2 better. I like that's it's been been slowed down.
CoD has become too fast. This pace is slower than that and I think it's a good thing. The hectic nature CoD has become is, flat out, out of control.I love you and all dude but that kinda worries me and it seems to be the trend. The people who didn't like the first one (or play it much) are loving this but the people who loved the game and played it to Gen10 aren't feeling it all. It has been dumbed down for a bigger audience and that makes me a sad panda.
Grappling does need to become faster.I have mixed feelings. I miss the speed, the slide makes up for it a little but the grappling hook needs to be faster. I prefer old Attrition to Bounty. I'll need to play more to see if it clicks or not.

Could it be sped up a tad, sure, but not by much. I'm ok with the speed, but wouldn't be upset too much of its sped up just a bit. This game is not COD. Or at least it shouldn't be. It was a fresh attempt at FPS mechanics and it was a critical success. Now it's a return to generic formula that is so disappointing I actually can't believe I'm that let down by a video game.

if you have EA Access, TF2 will probably be a free game about 6-8 months after it releases.I played this a bit and have the same opinion I had of TF1. It isn't bad but nothing about it pulls me in.
I could buy it and play it but honestly I don't see it taking time away from other games coming out this fall.
I don't expect COD to go anywhere this year...Finally played a round of this today and I enjoyed it, played bounty hunter and I really liked the way people weren't bullet sponges the way they can be in some other shooters. I don't know why they are releasing this so close to BF1 and COD though, they would probably be better off holding it off until early Spring 2017 IMO.
I haven't tested Hardpoint again to notice. I played it last night, but didn't notice anything. I think that was the mode they said would get faster earning titans. How's it since they decreased the "time to Titan"?
Lots of people don't like it. They don't appreciate the fact they have to EARN their Titan through performance instead of being guaranteed one via timer. They see it as CODified. A kill streak. But I don't see it any differently than the first one. Takes just as long to get a Titan for me and I'm never in one for more than a minute which is just as long as TF1.How's it since they decreased the "time to Titan"?

This was my first time playing TF and honestly I had no problem having to earn my Titan, I had no idea that's not how it was done in the first game.
Well said.
Even if Respawn made earning titans twice as fast as currently, it would still require someone going out and earning it. And TF fans don't seem to like it.
Yeah, mechs are fun and such, but I don't get why any gamer in a shooter wants a "free killstreak" like this. It's like playing CoD and even if you sit in a corner all game doing nothing, you still get to call chopper gunner. And every other gamer also gets their two free chopper gunners per match. A good gamer will do enough to earn a third or fourth chopper, but even the worst gamer who goes 0-15 still gets two.
Shooter fans typically don't like killstreaks and such, but can live with it (CoD), but TF is probably the only game out there where lots of people expect free mechs, which is like a free killstreak perk.
It also looks like no burn cards, so no starting titan at -40/-80 second timer or anything like that either.
I played PVP because I honestly was no good in a Titan.Well a Titan isn't a crazy overpowered COD killstreak and call me crazy but Titanfall should have some Titans. Plus I don't recall that ever being a complaint from anyone in the first game.
There is a reason nobody played Pilot vs Pilot in the first game
Completely disagree. This is more like COD and less like Titanfall. There is far less skill needed in this now with the mechanic changes.
because it promotes camping and less aggressive playWell said.
