I've never had a console standing upwright before but the fact that this has a stand intrigues me. I might use it.
 
First one at my GameStop as well, so pumped! Gonna be a long few months lol
 
Got one at GameStop as well. I'll probably go with them, instead of Best Buy, for my console, because they'll have a good trade-in deal, most likely.

Was happy with my Day One XB1 order and I should get more Microsoft Rewards points this way, which essentially translates into cash back.
 
I'm excited to get this thing. Hopefully later that month I'll get an awesome TV.

So did it sell out at Amazon in the US? It says it's unavailable...
 
I am happy I have a preorder but I will have to really think if the jump to 4K is worth it.

I'll need a new television to justify the upgrade. And games?
I'll probably get Assassin's Creed, Forza 7, and have 4K enhanced Gears of War 4, ReCore, and Forza Horizon.

Dunno. The pre-hype game is always dangerous.

its tough to say right now if you need a 4k tv for it too be worth it. the XOX will downsample to 1080 so games will look a little better, but that may or may not make a difference to you. Also some games may perform noticeably better on the XOX but we won't know until we start getting impressions. it is going to have 100+ games that are getting updated fro the XOX so a nice thing is that you probably have games that will benefit from the console with no extra cost.

I don't have a 4k TV and I pre-ordered. I'm getting it primarily for the horsepower.

A downsampled game will look substantially better than the One's 900p. Even a native 1080p game like Forza 6 has shimmering. Every game will have pristine IQ at 1080p and that's before any extras like textures and LOD improvements.

A great image quality alone can make a game look significantly better.

You can follow IGN Deals on twitter. They usually keep an eye on who gets them in stock. I was able to snag a PSVR that way.

I'm sure that most places will get more batches in to sell.
 
Pretty impressive for sure. I'm sure there will be more batches for sale, but it seemed like most retailers sold out pretty quickly. Had I not been sitting there for the Gamescon conference I may not have gotten one.
