Why does anyone bother with Gamestop anymore? New X1 S models are $250. Gamestop isn't going to give you much for a used one, especially the older models. Just keep the old one and use it somewhere else or sell it yourself.

When does this start ?
I preordered mine from Beat Buy hoping to have a pickup option. I don't see an option to change from delivery to pickup. Anyone know how good Best Buy is at delivering launch day?
Very easy, put your games on an ext HDD an download all the high rez textures and updates to the ext hdd. When your X1X arrives your ready to go .. Just plug the hdd with the patched games into you X1X ... No waiting, the updates has been done

In a future system update, my guess is a couple of weeks before X1X is released
Yeah, BB rewards would get me around $10 in rewards certs. According to my Microsoft Rewards account, this should give me around 500 pts which is like 25cents....lol. There's also the Xbox Rewards side of this....will likely push me up a tier so I'll get more $$ back for purchases on Xbox Live/Microsoft Store so it's probably a wash...I already hit my Elite membership requirement at BB anyway.
Yup...had already started doing this manually. Bought a 4TB portable drive and started copying games from my current drive over which is a very manual process (keeping my X1S and moving to another room)....got about 30 something games moved out of 175 or so before it got way too tedious. Xbox One X: Project Scorpio Edition tops charts around the world
Update: It looks like Best Buy is also out of the preorders. Even though you can add the console to your cart, you eventually get an error which says it’s out of stock. Retailers around the world, like Amazon in Canada and the United Kingdom, are also reporting that the console is out of stock. Contrary to analyst claims, the console is topping charts around the world. According to various estimates, Microsoft will send out enough consoles to hold retailers for a week so the fact that they sold out in hours is definitely encouraging.
It looks like Xbox One X: Project Scorpio Edition preorders are sold out already on Amazon in the United States. While we expected the stock to be limited, we didn’t expect the stock to be this limited. Xbox One X: Project Scorpio Edition includes the console, controller and stand, but more importantly, features the Project Scorpio name in green lettering at the front and on the controller. There’s also an etched pattern on the top which look like a lattice.
You can currently signed up to get alerted when the console will be available but it doesn’t look like it’ll be available anytime soon. You’ll probably still be able to get the normal Xbox One X when it launches on November 7. However, it won’t feature the amazing design. Many places like Best Buy and GameStop still have the item but supplies are running out fast. Be sure to get your preorder in before it’s too late. Considering that Amazon is the biggest and most-preferred retailer, this is still good news for Microsoft.

Are you a part of the preview program? They added a recent solution to make the process of moving things around a lot less tedious.
Settings>Storage>Select Drive>Transfer
Probably the standard/vanilla XBOX later.

The Xbox One X is so cutting edge even the updates are in the future.
So without knowing any numbers.......it appears the One X pre-orders have started selling out throughout all regions.....Not bad for $500 console with no games
