I guess I just disagree to an extent on your second point. Also I am talking about some Xbox fans.
Ok. I haven't followed the conversations over here very closely.

Microsoft is kind of damned if they do damned if they don't when it comes to IP's.
Early this generation everyone was saying that they give up on IP's too quickly. Now they should distance themselves from mediocrity and never look back?
I think RYSE and ReCore both deserve more love, honestly. I'd be interested in sequels to both- with AAA budgets and scope, of course. I loved all of QB as well (except the rightfully maligned last boss fight).Maybe they should be willing to continue these IPs but they shouldn't feel like they have to continue recent mediocre ones because they gave up on good ones in the past.
I don't think its really a damned if you do situation because I don't think you can look at the quality of Ryse or Recore the same way you would some of the IPs people were upset they dropped.
Exactly. Can't win for losing. That's why they should just expand on the ones they've released this gen and carry forward. At least there's a fanbase and foundation to build on. Just my opinion..Microsoft is kind of damned if they do damned if they don't when it comes to IP's.

The Dungeon Visuals hold together much, much better than the outdoor visuals. Outside looks horrible, imo. the textures and shaders are weak, and the sky looks bad even with HDR. I totally agree about the animations. They are as bland and straight forward generic as they can get, and don't properly convey weight or character. The camera could be better too.I just played Recore's demo. My expectations were low because of all the talk of mediocrity. Its concept is a mixture of Zelda and Megaman. I don't know what the game looked like before the visual upgrade, but the graphics look really nice and clean. I took a few minutes admiring the visuals when you're in the cave with Mack and he provides alot of the lighting.
Joule's lack of combat animations make Recore feel cheap. They should've had different animations during combat to give weight and add character. The tug of war mechanic for the orbs and sending Mack in to do a launcher feels satisfying. The potential is there. I think anybody who plays the demo will see that. I got to the crawler and my time was up. I could see a Recore 2 happen.
while you can change the settings on x joypads, it's so much easier to flick a switch to have the next set of settings in play. Can’t you change the joypad settings now with all gamepads? Just can’t change them on the fly with the two profiles, no?
i'd love it if you were right, but MS don't continue to fund exclusives that fail to sell and as we all know, Recore was at a lower price point to start with and still didn't give MS the numbers they wanted.Recore 2 is coming. I have no doubt about that. The definitive version was pretty fuking awesome! A bigger budget and more unique landscapes and this game will develop into Microsofts own Zelda/Metroid hybrid.
get Gamepass for a month, Recore is in there.I haven’t played Recore. But it looks like a game I should like.

If it upsets you and they do bring sequels to those two games, come see me. We can go a couple of rounds until you actually like the idea. Shouldn't take long...Many pages wasted on rc and qb..
I'll be pissed if MS shows sequels this E3...they need much more.
Well, I mean, Uncharted didn't take off for the stratosphere its first outting. Knack got a sequel (god help us... ) Killzone got a sequel (s). GT started off glorious until Forza came along - that didn't stop Poly from making more.. Mediocre games in fact DO get sequels. Some grow and become something. Others, not so much.. .
So there is a reasonable argument to be made for Ryse, Recore and QB. All have the potential to be great in the Xbox portfolio.
You are comparing Sony to MS here, Sony has shown time and again (for better and for worse) that they are more willing to give series that under perform a second chance. I would disagree with you about uncharted though, that series started off strong both critically and commercially, I don't know where the hell you making that GT/Forza comparison came from, it makes no sense.
No. I'm comparing games to games. Those that began mediocre and became something, and those that didn't.You are comparing Sony to MS here, Sony has shown time and again (for better and for worse) that they are more willing to give series that under perform a second chance. This is an Xbox One thread right?
We need an Xbox section. This is an Xbox One thread right?
It will hurt the already bad image they have by showing them instead of other better things. If it upsets you and they do bring sequels to those two games, come see me. We can go a couple of rounds until you actually like the idea. Shouldn't take long...
Does this count....
Ryse looks nice although they go VERY heavy on the depth of field during combat don't they? it's also 900p while God of War is 1080p and has a lot more particles and things like that going on as well as just being better looking all around. No games make Ryse look bad but as a whole package it's not God of War.
If Ryse is ever on sale on the Xbox store for around $10 I would consider picking it up just to see how it looks all the way through, as it stands now you have to buy it in a $30 bundle and I'm not spending $30 on it.
You're still waiting for a sequel to Azurik.
