None of the above.

The new Xbox One will come with no HDD, no disc drive, and will cost $250

Hololens V1 is not going to be a consumer device. They have stated that much.

I wouldn't even put V2 being a consumer product.

I agree, they need either create a partnership or they need to find a way to tether a cheaper consumer friendly Hololens like device with no FoV issues.
 
I see VR going the way of 3D gaming to be honest and if what they've shown of the games on PSVR is any indication of what we can expect from it well, i hope they have a plan B. So sick of these s***ty gimmicks had enough of it last gen with the motion gaming.

I have little interest in VR. Get back to me when it's a working Holo Deck.

They will all go the way of PS eye, Kinect, Move, Wii Motion....gimmick that will come and go.
 
Hololens is its own product, even then I don't see it as a primarily gaming platform. There will be no VR solution this gen.

Hololense will be massive. Its application spreads across all countries, businesses, interests, and education.

I do not see Virtual Reality as a gimmick. It could go the way of those other technologies, but if it does, then it was due to poor software.

Motion gaming was always going to be a fad, though.
 
Would love it if they made it so that you can take any external HDD you have and are currently using with the Xbox One and make it work straight out of the box backwards compatible so that I would be able to take my entire digital collection of games forward immediately.

Yeah, i think VR is a gimmick more or less. Who wants to come home after a long day of work and put a helmet on and sweat some more? Not me. Oh btw, you might get motion sickness too.

And while the VR device is blocking your eyes the kids can rampage the house completely. VR will only work if it comes with a free iron cage with a very secure lock for the kids.

No, with hololens you can still see what's going on in the house, it will not block your sight in the same way as VR.
It's very important to be able to see what's going on, eg are the kids falling down the stairs, are there burglars on the way into the house, has something started a fire, are your wife suddenly going bonkers on you and attacking with a frying pan etc etc

Or instead of thinking about someone else while with your partner, you can actually see what it would be like to be with someone else.

Not that it'll ever be an authorized use of the device of course, but come on ;)
