I gave the code out already
Then hit me with that code. I can give it to my kid.
I know just because I don't have a headset, ( which is why I don't respond to invites) Doesn't mean I can't hear what is said.
I have it set up so I can hear players through tv. So I can try to be a team player.

As far as unity think it was riddled with bugs when first released. Then makers trashed X1. I got the game for free, and I still haven't played it, or black flag.
1What's the Number one XBOX fan boy supposed to do.
2I do talk alot about giving out my tanks etc most of the time,on this site but there are times I like to use them
3 Be prepared next time I hop out dont get mad if your not prepared.
4 Glad your sniping skills are getting better
5 I could keep going but ill leave it at that.
Told you I can hear.

Yeah sucks,
What really concerns me is some people can't play their DD games. That should never be a problem.
Yea this was really strange. I've been digital only on X1 and never had issues launching games when Live had problems. I even had issues trying to use NHL.tv which shouldn't need a connection to Live to work. The weird thing is though that after having the game crash back to dashboard I was able to get it to launch after a few tries.

I share with my daughter's xbox in the back room so anytime live is down no luck on the big tv game wise, even in offline mode. I only wish that they would free up the apps such as Netflix, youtube, etc. That way when live is down I could at least use them. Luckily worse comes to worse I can use wii u or ps4 hooked up to the front tv but it is still a pain.

Intellivision I expect you to complain about Live being down. Even worse situation than a game's launch having bad servers or features seeing as how this affects everyone and just about every feature of the console.

It's realm only a problem for me with shared games that I've bought. Games that my buddy bought work no problem since Xbox considers my Xbox as his home box

It's down?

Have been playing Gems of War almost everyday for a bit and haven't had a problem yet. And that game, you have to be connected to Live at all times, or else you get a "Retry Server" error box, which happens every once in a while. But just retry server and it works.

You also have to sign in with your Gamertag to continue your progress, which I've been able to every time I boot up the game. I've never been denied signing into Gems of War since I started playing it during Christmas.

I can see my achievements again, i'm so happy. I saw a post about how they added the gamerscore leaderboard again and someone said how about you focus on Live not going down so i can play the games to get the achievements. I laughed.

No XBL issues here.

Saints 4 & Gat out of hell and Metro bundle are each 7.50 for gold members right now.

Metro looked good. Anyone played it?
Not sure what price your store says, but here in Canada, the Metro games are $5 each or the bundle for $7.50. Amazingly, each game has a Trial download! Never knew games had this.

I played the Metro Last Light trial and got up to chapter 7 (Facility level) and quit after I tried to Rambo through some rooms and got killed.

I found the game looks good and plays smooth (60 fps). Gun play is fine too.... avoid attaching optics on them. Optics obscures your aiming too much. The game (at least the beginning levels) is mostly close/medium gun play with decent recoil. So you don't need help aiming far away.

But the game itself? Boring.

Metro LL is 30 chapters according to Gamefaqs, but these starting 7 is 80% canned cut-scnes and handholding and dialogue. And 20% actual gameplay. Lots of chitter chatter. Extremely linear. So be warned. It's not like BF or CoD where there's some story at the start of the level and then you play out the level yourself.

Maybe levels 8 and onward have more gameplay. These 7 levels took no more than an hour to do too. Maybe even half an hour.

Graphics 9
Audio 8
Gameplay 3 (at least it plays super smooth). If this game was 30 fps with some dips, I'd give it a 1

On a side note..... Fallout 4 would be the best game ever if it did all it's open world RPG gameplay + Metro's gritty art style and smooth 60 fps.

If you try the trial, you'll know what I mean.

What is a trial download? Another way to say demo or something different?

I saw the $7.50 Metro bundle and was tempted to have a war/apocolyptic shooter to run through. Surely there is fun to be had for that price? If it's anything like Wolfenstein then I will buy it in a heartbeat. Telly, are you calling it boring because you have over-indulged in war shooters? I don't own any recent COD, BF, or Halo so this would be unique from that standpoint. Is the story lame?

7.50 is a steal, imo. It's very atmospheric, and the story/setting is unique. It's nothing like Wolfenstein. It is much slower paced. The co.trols could be better, and it is very linear, but a sub 8 bucks, you can't go wrong.

Boring because the first 7 levels of Metro LL have hardly any gameplay. It's endless handholding and cutscenes. And the levels are super short. The graphics are griity and sweet and the 60 fps is slick. No issues there. A dark gritty shooter with a combo of enemy soldiers and monsters is fine too.

I tuned out to the story. I don't want to give spoilers, but there's lots of unskippable dialogue.

The canned cut scenes are in-game engine which helps. So no loading or anything to a CGI clip.

Not for me. But maybe LL's later levels are better or Metro 2033 is better..... I didn't try the 2033 trial.

In other shooters, the levels, chapters, acts (whatever you want to call them) are more traditional. You get some kind of intro at a start of a level, then you forge ahead with gameplay. A typical chapter in other shooters is maybe 15-20 long on a first playthrough assuming you aren't a gaming god or play on Easy. In Metro LL, these 7 levels were maybe 5 or so min each.

By the way, when you go to the store, you should see a box beside the price box that says Trial. Pretty sure each game has it.

I never knew games even have trials. I thought X1 only had demos (for a small number of games), early access to those handful of indie games and EA Access.

Maybe there's more games out there with trials but the marketplace doesn't promote them.

Is it just me or the Xbox One controller the most cheaply made, breakable pieces of s*** ever?

I still have my original Xbox 360 controller and it works flawlessly. My Xbox One controllers though, nope, they both have developed a horrible groove in the left stick that makes movement jerky. My original one got so bad that the stick would get stuck on the stick opening. This only takes a couple of months to occur too.

I've had my day one controller, well, since day one and I use it practically every day. I don't have any problems with mine. I've dropped it a few times as well. I also have an old 360 controller, but the analog nubs have become warped over time and use.

I will admit that the 360 controllers do feel well built. I think it's because there is some heft to them with the batter pack and all.
