No, with hololens you can still see what's going on in the house, it will not block your sight in the same way as VR.
It's very important to be able to see what's going on, eg are the kids falling down the stairs, are there burglars on the way into the house, has something started a fire, are your wife suddenly going bonkers on you and attacking with a frying pan etc etc
