Anyone have a Quest and a PSVR out there? I'm just wondering how they compare, and if it's worth having both (I own a PSVR).
Oh yeah, Boneworks is great! Check it out!
Have you checked any driving games out? Project Cars blew me away. The cars feel full sized and the night time tracks with your car all lit up inside from the drivers headlights behind you is just so immersive. Definitely worth picking up a cheap wheel and pedals if you can adds even more immersion.
Got a Logitech G27 and stand for this. Project cars on a wheel and Elite Dangerous on HOTAS are masterpieces. Just hate having to drag out my rigs every time I wanna play. Need a better sim area in my next home...
Driving games are like a simple mod, as far as VR development goes. I don't imagine it would take Turn10 very long at all to make an entire Forza Motorsport into VR. I honestly think that MSFT is really effin up by not having a VR solution to launch with next gen. Because with Forza and Flight Simulator seemingly both absolutely PERFECT for VR, right out of the gate, and it would take very little developer adaptation from the pancake games, and both would hands-down just play better in VR.I have to laugh when I see people on this forum who clearly like driving games s*** on VR. I can only assume they’ve never tried it. Sim/cockpit games in VR with the right peripherals as you know are in such a different league compared to playing flat games on a screen. I’m not even into driving games that much but can hand on heart say they’re easily one of the most epic gaming experience’s I’ve had.
Elite Dangerous is another mind blowing game in VR. Definitely worth the couple of hours it takes to get your head around how to play it.
I’m really excited for what’s to come over the next few years. Especially now with Next Gen around the corner as the PS5 will have the power to run games like Project Cars and Elite Dangerous in VR.
