New consoles are better than consoles designed 8 years olds...Shocking!

Everyone is biased. I know, shocking right. Also, Santa is not real.Crytek and other devs are biased? LOL
That is pretty much in line with what all the devs are saying, so not surprised.Chris Granell kind of quadrupled down on his early statement that his dev friends working on both say the Xbox is far more capable. Was really impressed with Xbox throughput and Ray tracing capabilites. He was almost too lopsided in his opinion on an Xbox podcast which I'm sure will immediately kill the credibility....but there it is.
He did put out the fire (pun intended) about Playstations having overheating issues. Said nobody he knows who's developing for the ps5 is saying that.
Edit: I'm mostly exhausted by the tit for tat spec wars. Just giving you guys a heads up on the news before someone else reports it. According to Era, he's a disgruntled former Sony employee.
Article comes out today from Jez with more info from developers and their excitement for the Series X.Interesting how people pick and choose who is and isn't believable. Its exactly like politics. When one dev says something contrary to what we want to hear, he's a disgruntled former employee. When a mobile dev with no dev kit says something, he's the most credible guy on the internet. The credibility of the experts seems largely dependent on what we want to hear. There's almost no focus given to the substance of what anyone is saying and trying to make sense of those details.
Be excited for both. It’s about the games, right?
Hardware isn’t going to be an issue this time.
I bought a PS for Uncharted, God of War and Gran Turismo. I bought an Xbox for Halo, Forza and Gears. I will continue to do the same going forward. 4 teraflops, 9.2 teraflops, 12.15 teraflops or whatever flops. For me, games > flops.Be excited for both. It’s about the games, right?

MS pointed out that it was the developers that contributed to the memory decisions made in the Series X. I guess those making the games shall not be trusted. The one area point that keeps getting overlooked as we debunk all the sources who say nice things about Series X is that devs willing to go on record have focused on Series X throughput. Its interesting that many verified sources at Resetera say Series X is bottlenecked due to memory, inefficiencies and throughput while Digital Foundary and every dev willing to go on record have said the opposite. Its throughput is considered its biggest strength due to the NVME controller, decompression block and APIs. Its strengths will shine when it comes to open world detail.
Crytek is a 3rd party who works on all platforms and makes arguably the best engines.(more than Crytek praised it although unnamed)Interesting how people pick and choose who is and isn't believable. It is a cumbersome memory setup I been saying this. The one area point that keeps getting overlooked as we debunk all the sources who say nice things about Series X is that devs willing to go on record have focused on Series X throughput. Can you show a 3rd party who matches them at least in experience with XSX and ps5 saying the dumb claims some been making?
I'll wait....
It is a cumbersome memory setup I been saying this.
DF is greatly outnumbered if they said the opposite even though they haven't so not sure why you are saying they did?
I see no 3rd party dev with experience on both saying this either.
I do hear praise towards ps5 from them though.
Developers say PS5 is the better box to develop for though.Of course developers would gravitate to the more capable, feature rich box. That only makes sense. They have more to work with afterall. MS has been much more transparent to the public about what the box does also. For PS5 we have to fill in the blanks and rely upon a translated interview from a fired Crytek developer and first hand accounts from Sony first parties.

He basically said ps5 was superior.Crytek didn't say anything. A single dev working on mobile games with no dev kits did. His opinions were also largely focused on how much DX12 sucks. Not memory bottlenecks. What makes that more credible than devs with dev kits or Digital Foundary with real world examples willing to go on record?
Which developers?Developers say PS5 is the better box to develop for though.
Saying it was easier to get the most out of the ps5. We don't see the opposite being said about XSX.
Seems like they understand so by public that wouldn't be devs.
Just green tinted fanboys on forums who wanna see what they can wanna see.
Crytek and whoever the unnamed ones mentioned in 2 different videos in this thread are.Which developers?
