So wasn't Microsoft supposed to have a July hardware showing?

No date announced...because it is rumor. But MS did say that their Xbox 20/20 was EVERY month. So June is a month! So I guess 18 days left for this supposed Xbox hardware/ services detail.
Ah, OK. Seems weird for Microsoft to not announce a date well ahead for something like that. Maybe they will just drop it this time, due to elevated expectations of the 3rd party games reveal.

Yeah, then Aaron responded by saying stuff wasn't delayed. I am tired of social media.

He was talking about July show though because some site reported their show was delayed and that is the only announced one. It was is a stupid thing to report on even though the guy has a good amount of credibility at this point.

Exactly. I bet Lockhart is nothing more than a discless version of the Series X.

Dealer on YT has been pretty spot on with info, and he’s still saying $299-ish, disc-less, and less powerful...closer to a 1x. It’ll replace the 1s.

There are also some rumors of it being portable...? Interesting if so.

If the disc is the only difference in the PS5, I can’t see the cost difference being more than $50.

While on the X side, I expect $299 and $499. PS5 looks to be at least $499, and the disc-leas will probably be $399–$449.

Interesting times ahead!

MS never made it official but the rest of the world said there was...I find that strange.

This is the quote that is messing everyone one up, straight from Microsoft in May.

Xbox 20/20

Starting with the May 7 episode of Inside Xbox, we will be showcasing what happens next in the world of Xbox, every month, which is why we’re calling it “Xbox 20/20.” These monthly moments will take place throughout the rest of the year and will be a way for us to engage, connect and celebrate with you about what’s in store for the next generation of gaming, including what’s next for Xbox Series X, Xbox Game Studios, Xbox Game Pass and Project xCloud. Every month will bring something different. Stay tuned to Xbox Wire for more details.

So based on that, people expected another Inside Xbox type of event for June maybe this time focusing on hardware or Gamepass.

Greenberg comes out a few days ago with this:

My gut tells me the poor reception for May's Inside Xbox and Greenberg's/Xbox's misleading PR for the event might have caused a change in their plans even if they don't want to admit it.

No need for that though. Just stop with the bulls*** PR and be honest about what we can expext. The inside xbox event would have been fine if the PR bulls*** wasn't part of it.

The only reason I watched that inside Xbox was because the PR made it seem worth while. The AC Valhalla gameplay was another big draw. Both were just bulls*** PR.

Well your beloved youtubers are acting like it's official.
Beloved Youtubers? Every Insider journalist worth their weight in salt is saying that it was a thing. That doesn't make it official, it just makes it believable.

Yeah, the May Inside Xbox killed some of the momentum the Series X had going for it. The games they showed, without context were not bad but when hyped up as a glimpse of the next generation, it didn't cut it.
