It's time to put up or shut up. Also, why do we rely on Klobrille for information? I'm not saying he is right or wrong, but is he an official spokesperson? If not, why doesn't MS start speaking more directly to the consumers?

He is essentially on the payroll but its unofficial so it just comes off as awkward shilling

That acoustics demo was a great start but we really need to be seeing a lot more, and like someone said, Phil reckons he's been playing on the thing for months, just bloody show us!

The one on the right screams fake....

The earliest would be around a mid gen refresh.

I'm not thinking its happening though.
They'd be fools NOT to. VR usage has gone through the ROOF during quarantine! The industry is just booming right now, with Quests and Rifts constantly selling out since Nov last year. This month in particular is crazy with new hardware like HP Reverb G2/face tracking version coming out, and Quest 2 will formally be announced on the 16th with who knows what features. Microsoft doesn't even have to make hardware, just allow others to work on Xbox.

i was trying to decide if i wanted to buy that on launch or wait for Series X version, dont have to decide now

Well the thing is I am going to get it a launch because this time is different because my ga.es are getting carried over and I wOnt lose anything.

2 design plan?
Pretty sure they meant Xbox One/ Xbox Series. The even mention wanting to drop Xbox One ver.

Notice that nobody is complaining about Series S yet. In this case, it isn't even a concern, while XOneS is. It seems to me like Series S can do the same features as Series X, but at a lower resolution, just as some have expected. Also, it might even be able to do DLSS style machine learning upscale, making it look very close in appearance to native 4K on Series X. We'll have to see what they announce.

Haven’t seen any, just the reference in the 3D audio demo that it could apply to VR.
Yeah, the tech to do it was actually designed for VR, out of Microsoft Research. I'm glad we get that level of immersion for surround, but I also hope that it could mean that they are gearing themselves up for possible VR inclusion.
