Which trial? If the trial isn't a witch then defendant is a witch trial.

Witch trial or Witch hunt is a figure of speech that means falsely accusing or convicting someone of a crime/action/even thoughts, they did not commit (often due to some hatred, dirty politics or vigilante).Which trial?
So it is a great game but wait for a patch or 2.Finished the game. Clocked 58 hours 29 minutes. Finished every side job and gig that wasn't glitched.
My immediate thoughts:
IF I had to assign a score to this game as is from the time I started playing until today when I finished it, I would begrudgingly give it an 8 or 9 out of 10 depending on my mood. The game is memorable and more often than not, it is pretty engrossing fun. But the bugs/glitches are beyond unacceptable and really do hurt this game. The questionable gameplay decisions hurt the game as well but not nearly as much IMO as the glitches/bugs. This game could have used another year or maybe 2 in full development before being released. Though given the state of their management who know if that would have helped.
- That Ending. whew. Hits like a ton of bricks depending on which ending you get...
- I can see how reviews said the main story is short. It is. If you focused on nothing but the main story, you could easily complete the game in half the time.
- That being said, the side gigs are where its at. CDPR hasn't lost their tough for writing secondary quests. While IMO there is no Bloody Baron quality quest in this game, there are a few really good side quests that straddle the line of humorous or absurdly dark.
- The meat and potatoes of the game IMO is the character interactions and development of V, some of the secondary characters and the city itself.
- Questionable gameplay mechanics and decisions aside, had the game been released without the numerous bugs and glitches, it would rightfully be in the running for many GOTY awards next season. Given gamers short memories, by the time the GOTYs roll around next year and with all the patches this game is going to get, the game may sweep the award categories.
- This game felt like a labor of love from the developers and it is a shame the shape it was released in.
- Had many quest main and side glitch out on me and become incomplete-able. Sometime it would solve itself simply by exiting and restarting the game. Other became permanent. The cyberpsycho quest in particular for me can not be completed due to glitches.
- If you watched all the Night City Wires, ALOT of the story, characters and locations have been revealed. Some of them contain quest and story spoilers within them. Don't know why they did that.
- I don't feel the urge to replay with another character as the lifepaths were nearly useless after the beginning. Dragon Age Origins did life-paths considerably better than this game.
- Very few of choices in the game actually effect anything substantially. Alot of them give the illusion of choice but ultimately lead you to the same point just with different dialog. However, there are a few real game effecting choices in there.
- The game feels like its not finished( Certain story beats feel rushed along with certain gameplay elements not fleshed out) and I don't feel like there is any patch that can fix that.
- AI is god awful. No way around it.
- On PC the game is an absolute stunner. With everything turned up to ultra with ray tracing on, its is an absolute spectacle. Some of my photomode shots have everything maxed with raytracing and no DLSS just to see how it looks and its unreal. The day when we can get fidelity like this with ray tracing turned on running at native resolution at or above 60 fps, I will be in heaven gaming wise.
- After riding on the motorcycles, I'm not sure if CDPR couldn't have pulled off this game in 3rd person. But 1st person wasn't terrible.
- Soundtrack is great.
- CDPR still can't do hair well but it has improved from the witcher games.
The highest complement I can give this game is that it seems to be the this generation's version of Alpha Protocol, a game I ABSOLUTELY adore. High/revolutionary ideas marred by bugs and average/poor execution but still somehow delivering a memorable experience.
I know. But you can't tell me that a trial with an actual witch isn't also technically a witch trial.Witch trial or Witch hunt is a figure of speech that means falsely accusing or convicting someone of a crime/action/even thoughts, they did not commit (often due to some hatred, dirty politics or vigilante).
I think it's just a poor choice of word. I think he meant if you are guilty, technically it's not a witch trial.I know. But you can't tell me that a trial with an actual witch isn't also technically a witch trial.
After a while they stopped coming. Checked a few strategy guides online to see if I missed anything. Got all of them with the exception of the bugged cyberpsycho ones. By Act 3 alot of side jobs and gigs are stacked on top of each other so its not hard to do 2 or 3 at once.I'm not sure how you guys have wrapped up most side quests, I mean how do ya know? I'm 60 hours in and they are still coming left and right. I've done nothing but side stuff for a week and I now have 4 new side quests to do along with like 15 gigs. I haven't even done any Judy quests yet.
Me thinks you missed out on a bunch.
It is as long as expectations are kept in check and you play the game for what it is. With the bugs it felt like playing Skyrim on Day 1 with a better story and less freedom. The game tries to mash together the best aspects of a few different genres and doesn't quite stick the landing but it is better than the sum of its parts. Anyone who catches the game at a discount down the line with all the patches will be in for a treat. So it is a great game but wait for a patch or 2.
Hopefully the Jan patch fixes most of the bugs.
Some beginner tips for Cyberpunk, for those not yet play the game or early
General
1) Use at least 4-5 manual saves & rotate them. This game is buggy & you will likely need to reroll from a previous save.
2) Loot everything. (Note currently theer is a save game bug, where save file exceeding 8 MB will be corrupted.), best sell/slavage those you do not need.
Cyberware
1) Get the Double jump leg mode ( From Vik, but also available from other ripperdoc) as soon as you can get 45000 Eddies
2) If you are not into hack (& even more so into hack), get a Cyberdeck with big-S RAM can make hacking easier & less waiting.
Crafting
1) Get the perk "True Craftsman" so you can craft rare items allow you to craft MAXDOC MK2 (60% instance life recovery)
2) Salvage gears you do not need, it more value to craft (green snipper) & sell should you run out of cash (Tip from Brad Pitt).
3) Bullets/rounds/shells can be crafted. You should be able to craft sufficiently as long as you salvage regularly, I didn't know this at the beginning & regulary ran put of bullets. But once I figure I can craft rounds, I never have ammo issues
4) Craft Armadillo, armor mod. As mods cannot be removed (unless you have a special perk "Waste NOT WANT NOT"). crafting armor mod is a good way to buff your armor
5) Craft CRUNCH, & put it into your weapon for a decent damage boost.
6) You can buy crafting formula from vendors
Driving
1) If you find driving wonky, ride a bike if possible, it's easier to control. You get a bike or 2 as part of side story quests (missable)
2) Buying a vehicle is a luxury, spend eddies somewhere else unless you are swimming with eddies.
Quests
If you are selective on which side quests to do, the better side quests are the ones involving main NPCs, Judy, River, Terry, Johnny, Terry, Panam.
Skill Tree
1) It depends on which builds you want to play, but there are a few (all required low attributes investment) that is in general good to put points into
True Craftsman (under crafting) to be able to craft rare items.(see crafting tip 1)
Invincible (under Athletic) Increase max life
Pack Mule (under Athletic) Increase carry capacity by 60
Gameplay
1) You can save the game even when in a hostile area, as long as you are not in combat mode
2) Enemies with red skull icon mean they are over your level. You most like to be killed. Take them out later is recommended.
3) Gunfight isn't that difficult (normal) compare to other shooters, and general good practice applies like taking cover, move out of open. etc

The in a game model of the Ex-IGN journalist could have been modeled after my mom. Almost as bad as the Mass effect in-game model of Yvonne Strahovski
Barely notice these cameos except Kojima. Waste of resources & time
I feel CD Projekt has become too big too popular too quickly that they think they are a big time & have movie like cameos like the marvel movies.
I heard hacking is OP, but I never spec point to it. Combat is already pretty easy, especially with M+K. Enemies are slow & dumb, allow you to pop headshot after headshot. It is as long as expectations are kept in check and you play the game for what it is. The game made me simultaneously wish for someone to do a Judge Dredd game, a ghost in the shell game and finish the Deus Ex trilogy. It blends alot of those things together.
1. Hacking made combat very easy and approachable.
2. Double jump is a godsend.
3. The best side quests for me were with Panam, Judy and River.
4. Johnny is such an unrepentant a******. Keanu played that part well.

I'm just joking around...I think it's just a poor choice of word. I think he meant if you are guilty, technically it's not a witch trial.
I'm on the same boat as you. Still have yet to meet up with Judy and Takemura again.I'm not sure how you guys have wrapped up most side quests, I mean how do ya know? Yeah, that one's good. I got it last night...and got a call back later, so I guess it's still ongoing. That side quest with the "found God murderer" was really great.
