I bought an Xbox cause I like Fridges more than big routers. LOLolololll
I only have my 2 original Xbox consoles and 2 X360 consoles now. I sold my X1 because of how disgusted I've become with what Xbox has become. Only 1 exclusive series (Forza) I still care about and a long list of other things I dislike. Of course I used to be a huge Xbox fan or I wouldn't be part of this site in the first place. I'm not giving them a pass. What's funny is some of the people who complain about the lack of games on Xbox still bought one of the new consoles for some reason... Neither console is worth having right now (unless you didn't have a console last gen) which is why I haven't made any significant effort to find either of them outside of walking around the display cases at Walmart once every month or 2 or checking Best Buy's site once every few weeks.
Quick resume is cool. But still a little quirky.
Like for example, I quick resume Skyrim from a previous days session, but I get a weird dip in the frame rate, I quit out of the game and restart and it clears the framerate up.
I'm playing with the 60 fps mod. So that may have something to do with it.

As an Xbox gamer I want games. I don't care if those games are XSX exclusives, Xbox exclusives, or if they play on everything from Stadia to Switch.
The console warz stuff is nonsense. Both platforms offer great value at the price, which is why they are still hard to find even after the holidays.

Mine goes nuts if I quick resume into AC Valhalla after my son has played a few games but not enough to kick ac out of the quick resume cache. The TV just starts toggling game mode on and off until I turn the TV off and it shuts down the XSX. When I turn it back on, Missy of the time it goes right in, but sometimes I have to quit the game and start it from scratch. Still that whole process is just a third of the time it would take to load up on the x1x so...
Yeah once I trained my brain to use all 4 paddles, it feels like regression to play without them. I really like the way the new Series X controller feels. Simply cannot play without those paddles. It's a game changer with FPSs or Soulsbourne games. Ability to leave your right thumb on the stick and control the camera at all times makes a big difference. Trigger locks, adjustable tension and multiple gaming profiles for games that don't have customizable controls are all important too. In contrast I've held the $200+ pro controller for the PS4. I don't know how people use all 4 paddles with their placement.
Seems to be working fine for me now.
Yakuza would freeze as soon as you got into a fight after using quick resume but never happens now.
A few other games had issues but not now.
Missing out on the most next gen of next gen features. Come on, you know you got an Xbox for this feature.

This remaster s*** has f***ed things up the last few years and it gets worse and worse every year with more and more gamers seemingly happy at games being re-released? Ive never been a fan and never understood, I would if we were getting new games but this concept has almost replaced new games being released.

Just not as good man. Paddle placement feels bad. Entire controller doesn't feel that good in my hands. Still has symmetrical sticks. Just a me thing. I get it. Maybe it works for others. I was excited about it's potential. Super disappointed to experience it. Also lacks some of the other features like the highly customizable profiles the Elite 2 has. Finally....not forward compatible so happy I never bit on it.
End of the day it doesn't matter the reason, the Elite 2 controller is a huge reason Xbox stays my primary platform beyond exclusives. That and Game Pass.
As an Xbox gamer I want exclusives because otherwise I would have no reason to buy one.
I'm thankful they are getting their s*** together this gen because Xbox One was a big paper weight most of the time
Ps4 has significantly more exclusives, more higher-rated exclusives, more award-winning exclusives, & more exclusives that are more popular.
Relative scales of the consoles reflect that.
If you are on a platform with weaker sales, you will be an afterthought to developers & it could mean weaker games, less special content, or just not released on the platform, like Stadia or Windows phones. Even if you do not care about "console war" sales of platform matters. Ideally, the platforms are competitive & we do not end up with a monopoly, & at the same time, you do not want your platform of choice to be well behind in sales.
I don't think there is such tilted complete domination as the PS4/XBOX one on level starting ground. From hardware, from quality from quantity, PS4 beat Xbox one so bad its sad.

It was over before it started. MS got what it deserved when releasing the Xbox One. I guess that's what happens when you bring a focus group in who thought that TV aspect on the console was cool. In the end that bit them on the ass more than anything. At least they're trying to right the ship.
They're goung to have to have some great AAA exclusives and if they do that then yeah I can see it happening. At least make it competitive.
Really hope MS does step up and their new first party studios will be great so that would push Sony to release more quality exclusives. Having a monopoly isn't good for consumers.
