I've started doing this as well when I find out if the enemies are just more bullet spongey. IRL it doesn't take that many bullets to take someone down why would I need to fire 10 bullets at someone's head to kill them?
That’s the reason as I got older I couldn’t get into the Resident Evil series anymore. Last one I played was the co-op one on 360 and it would take so many bullets to take something down I said screw this.

Yeah once the darkness is taken off them it should be 2/3 shots at most depending on the weapon as they are normal humans at that point.

Dropping the difficulty makes the 2 to 3 shots thing a reality (1 if you get a good head shot).

It unfortunately drastically lowers the amount of damage you take, and provides resources and healing items every where you turn. Wish there was a difficulty level between "normal" and "story".

If you play the remakes on easy, it should be a good time.

Finished American Nightmare. Not too bad. Some good story stuff in there.

To drag out me play AW2, I'm going to play both DLCs for Control. I've had them, but it took so long to release and I never played them.

I'm not loving the combat either, which is a bummer. I've never liked games with bullet sponge enemies, and even the most basic enemies in this game seem to take at least 3x the amount of ammo they did in the original Alan Wake, American Nightmare, or Control.

I guess if bullet sponge enemies is their idea of "survival horror", I don't like survival horror. Probably going to drop the difficulty to easy, Kvally style, as the story and other elements of the game are awesome.
On easy, it's 2-3 hits for the random enemies.

So the plot board and the story I choose (currently playing as Alan), am I to understand it really doesn't matter which story cards I place on the scene because at some point, you still play the entire game?

From what I've played you need to swap between the choices to solve certain areas.

Games not grabbing me at all. It's not bad just the mind place stuff is lame.

Ok. Well, like right now I am offered to do the Missing FBI Agent or the Cult. I just chose the FBI Agent for all the boards. But then I couldn't get any further in the subway, so I made it the cult, and it opened the doors.

A bit confusing.

Yeah I think I know the bit. You do the agent then the cult then a 3rd option.

All these updates keep f***ing with my quick resume spot in the game. I have to restart at my quick save when I come back to play 😡

Maaaaaannnn f**k this nursing home.
I just got to that chapter.

I finally got past the part where my game crashes, by instead of fighting the boss, I would weaken the boss in the "Local Girl" Saga chapter.

Quick Resume always works for me with the exception of when a game is updated, which I have set to automatically update.

I'm always worried it's going to corrupt my save file. Games start so quick these days, I feel like I'm only saving 15 to 20 seconds by using quick resume.

Beat the game. Game was really good. Just wish the flash light recharged a bit if u had no more batteries. You're forced to use the flash light battery to open paths sometimes.

I’m about halfway and the action definitely takes a backseat, is it like that the rest of the game?

It picks up near the end. R u playing as Alan or switching between them? I did all of Alan's story when I could and then it made me play as Saga.
