Assassin’s Creed IV: Avast ye lubbers, the Black Flag is officially flown

That's a lot of widows you made there. That's my problems with these games: my conscience gets in the way of my immersion. When I fight Englishmen I usually knock them over because I figure Edward wouldn't want to kill many of his own countrymen. I try to forgive and spare as many as allowed but sadly the game doesnt reward you for having a heart of gold and being magnanimous...

You can disarm them and sun them.

Me, I LOVE killing me some Englishmen. When I took over a fort, I went around and executed every one of the guys who surrendered. :grin:
 
In a game about assassin's I wouldn't worry about being the good guy too much :) Not only that but they try to kill you so why not return the favor? lol. I really miss being able to tackle or grab the NPC's and throw them at each other, used to love going NPC bowling in the older titles but they took that out in AC3 and it wasn't added back in for this game either.
 
Great game, for those who have the pc version I would recommend using sweetfx, if not for removing the grey filter then for the AA.
I can play the game with AA off and let sweetfx handling it (use a combination of SMAA and FXAA, tho most likely only need one of those).
Also easy to adjust to what one prefer.

Not too far into the game yet, 14 %., taking it slow and trying to find all I can.

Well I broke down yesterday and bought this digitally and am not that far in but currently not overly impressed with the GFX. Character models are what I would expect on 360, guess that what happens with a cross gen title.

Not a game you buy for the graphics. But I've put countless hours into it. Great game.

Other then hunting animals and looting ships the forts are one of my favorite parts sow far ( picture from the first fort I encountered).

OK so I played a little more last night, just go to where you save the pirates and get your first crew. Game is opening up some more and looks like a may enjoy being a pirate.
 
Have gotten far on the underwater missions, only a few left (if not comes more in main story):
