Batman: Arkham Origins Anyone?

Should have had more detective work in it. That's something this new dev introduced and it's really good. Just not enough of it. Finished the game, it was fun. I still think City was the best. Better story with Ra's Al Ghul and all that.

So how good/bad is this game? I'm thinking about grabbing it, as I'm on a bit of a Batman kick lately. Bought the Dark Knight Returns animated film on Blu-Ray, bought some new Batman trades, even ordered this.

Yeah I'm wondering too, there are some really positive impressions in this thread, which makes me really want the game. I want to play through City one more time though.

Have you completed all the side quests? There's a string of them that are nothing but detective missions, which is pretty neat. I think City has a better storyline too though. Asylum as well, in terms of pacing. I wasn't as into Origins at first like when Asylum and City came out, but this eventually hooked me in. Everything just kept getting better and better.

Think I'll get around to playing some of the Deathstroke challenge maps and the MP. Just needed a nice long break from the game after really going into it.

Yeah, played both of the previous games and had a blast. Is this one a noticeable step down in quality since Rocksteady wasn't behind it?

Hey man,

I highly recommend the game. I love the series and it's good. Boss fights and story were well done.

Also, have you seen Batman: Under the Red Hood? Love that animated movie but I bet you have.

I didn't care for Return of the Dark Knight but Under the Red Hood delivers. Trust me. It's one of the best DC Animated movies.

If you haven't played Batman Arkham Origins I suggest you buy it. I just beat it today and I thought it was well worth my $60 purchase.

Reactions: DLC
WB can kiss my ass. Even though I didn't personally have any issues with bugs (still haven't finished this, BTW) I refuse to reward them with more of my money for basically walking away from fixing this game then trying to sell DLC for it.

I may consider this after I played Arkam City. But I heard Origin isn't as good, & the Bugfixgate.

Have only played Arkham Asylum. Hoping for City and Origins to hit PS+ in the future so I can experience them.

Idle,

I didn't experience any game breaking bugs but from what I've read about the studio's comments on patching is true . . . I'm with you. And with so many games getting released now that are unfinished or need patches is ridiculous. It makes me want to wait on purchasing a game until months after release. I believe release dates are now the Beta test phase of development. Pisses me off.

According to bleeding cool, the title of the next Batman game is - Batman Arkham Knight. It may be announced tomorrow on the next episode of DC all access.

I got the Season Pass for $9.99 on the 360 not too long ago. Looking forward to playing Cold, Cold Heart and all the other stuff. First time I ever got a Season Pass too. Seems like you can't do anything else but download when using the pass though, which is a bit of a downside because I do love to play games while something downloads. Still though, $9.99 is a great price for all the content you get. Campaign, challenge maps, of one which is a mixture of the two from what I heard, costumes, and some MP stuff.

I really enjoyed Arkham Origins, and I suppose I was lucky in that I didn't experience any bugs whatsoever in the game. Id be down for playing Cold Cold Heart, but it'll have to be on discount down the road.

I bought the season pass like a tard. It's the only pass I've ever bought and I can't really nail down why I did it this time.

So, I have cold cold heart but haven't played it. I've nonsensically been trying to get my 360 to read the first splinter cell.

Same here, dunno why I got the season pass, i think they were selling it cheaper or something, but now my 360 will not read any of my games! I'd play the new DLC but pretty much any game i put in (tried almost all of them, Dishonored seems to work consistently but nothing else will even load) gives me an "unreadable disc" prompt. Gotta send it in for repair, tried using a lens cleaning disc and it wouldn't even read the disc in the drive, closing the tray ends with the "open tray" option.... but anyway, yeah, downloaded it but cannot play, pretty lame...

Cold, Cold Heart is pretty good but also on the short side.

Still Origins is great.

Clearing the cache of your storage might do it. Didn't do it for me this time with the splinter cells, but it has worked before.
Blacklist works fine, buncha things work fine, just origins and the old splinter cells. Just the things I wanna play..

I read that as well. More development time in this case is a good thing.

Good to hear the good news about the DLC!

Finished Cold, Cold Heart. Very solid DLC. Biggest negative for me are the dialogue scenes. It seems to be particularly robotic. No animation for the bodies at all in many cases. It's like they had someone with little to no animation experience do the animation. Still though, I had a good time playing this DLC and thought it was a solid storyline.
