Official Thread Bloodborne

Just beat it. Ended at level 98 I think. Really enjoyed it and will play a different style the next time I play it. But now it's time for something that takes a little less concentration lol.

I'm at Unseen Yahagul or whatever. Place sucks. f*** those three hunters. They are dead now.

The One Reborn
is no more. Not really challenging, a little cheap, honestly. The camera was the biggest hurdle.

Two chalice dungeons down too. I am level 66. I want to get to around 90.

Getting into some really hard areas now, too.

After seeing this pic I think Madonna may be a Bloodborne fan :tounge:

I've been playing Dark Souls 2 and it made me realize how I was playing Bloodborne wrong. I lack PS plus so I solo'd every boss. It is so fun to co op the bosses summoning people, I'm going to have to replay this with plus!

Is Dark Souls 2 essentially the same thing as Bloodborne, for the most part? And are these games supposed to look kinda...not sure..old school or last gen? They don't look a fancy schmancy like Battlefield 4 or The Order for example. Not that it matters to me, just reminds me of the morrowind days a little.

Bloodborne looks great DS2 does not.

I am just going by videos for DS2. It looks like Bloodborne to me. Maybe it's just the size of these games that make them look old school.

It looks good bit not nearly as good as Bloodborne. Essentially yes they are same game but the combat mechanics are completely different and that's basically the core element. If you enjoy the overall Bloodborne experience, maze like levels, hidden secrets, short cuts to unlock, boss battles, a hard challenge, then you'll probably like dark Souls.

They should package a plushy replica of the dualshock controller with every game because there have been several times where I want to smash my controller. This is a brutal, punishing game. I finally made it past the third boss and on my next death I was sent to a prison. It took me a while to find the exit while dealing with super strong enemies. Then while exploring a new section of a previously explored area I get jumped by two Hunters that destroy me. I finally dispatch them and then wondered into the fourth boss fight. This is a crazy b!tch who can kill you before you even recover from her last death swing.

This game is still awesome its just hard as FCK!

I hope this game works after standby on the PS4. I put my guy up on a ladder so nobody could get me, and put my PS4 in standby mode...2 days ago.

Eh. Your position in the game is irrelevant when you put the game in stand by. Haven't done it while fighting a boss mind you. It picks right where you left off.

It never starts up where I left off. It always spawns me at the yharman lamp. ALWAYS.

Sounds like that's loading rather than resuming. In your power options on your ps4 make sure you have the three tick boxes for power save checked. Also when you stop, hold the home button and immediately enter stand by mode. It works perfectly for me. I start exactly in the spot i was in.

Sorry if I sound confusing. What I am saying is that every time I die in the game, it starts me at the Yharman lamp. Every time I quite and exit the game in the game settings and then come back to the game, I am at the same lamp. So this time when I was playing, I had gotten to a point in the game past the lamp that I didn't want to lose my spot since I was done playing for the day, so I left my guy on the ladder so that I wouldn't start at the damn lamp again.

You can still be attacked on a ladder lol.
Yeah, I noticed that the other day. But I killed all the enemies above and below me before I did. But I guess they could respawn while I sit there.

Every time you die you will load at a lamp post. If you use the resume feature on the ps4 you enter rest mode and pick up exactly where you were next time you switch the ps4 back on

If I didn't die before hand?

That is good to know. Wasn't sure how that worked if you were online. Or is that part of the bugs the game had prior to a patch? I remember one was bosses getting easier if you left it in suspend mode.

For the record, my guy was still on the ladder when I went back in. However, I died 3 more times 10 minutes later and ended up back at that f***ing lamp again! The damn BIG black wolves on the bridge (2 of them) got me.

You can kite the big bad wolves by getting their attention and then running into the house just off the bridge. The wolves will follow down the stairs but can't get into that house and you can stand just out of reach and kill them. This is also a good way to farm health potions provided you unlocked the gated shortcut. Someone here had a great tip and its to try and run past enemies so you can explore the area. The enemies in this game are a little brain-dead and slow to react so running past them is very doable as long as you have stamina to sprint.

thanks I will try that!!

Yea I just run around those wolves. I beat the second boss, maybe. No idea which one is considered the real first boss. So I'll say I killed the first unavoidable boss.
