💯 agreed. I mean the 2 parts to the game were done by entirely different studios, and it’a already been said the campaign has been done for over a year.

All the delays were just to get this tech running. I expect it to get old fast because it sounds very limited in the MP, and I’m sure it will get boring fast. The MP impressions have basically said exactly that already.

But it should give us a glimpse of what’s coming, and that’s not very far away. I think we’ll see it on a grandiose scale in Halo Infinite, and maybe even something with GOW.

And it’s destruction in CD, but expanding that out to other game aspects will allow for experiences just not possible right now. Potentially really, really exciting stuff!

Yeah, I can't call it bro. I don't have any real expectations other than to let the game speak for itself. If I find it hella fun, I'm in. If it gets old so be it. I know if you set yourself up for it to get old quick, chances are it probably will. It's like that saying: "If you think you can, you're probably right. If you think you can't, Trump is still president and we all might die in the next six months..."

Some sh!t like that. You know what I'm saying..

I wonder if part of the reason for the change of engine in Halo was so they could implement this tech?

Well they better have found a way to make the cloud “tech” more accessible and iterative, because if the length of development for Crackdown 3 is any indication, then I’m not sure I want it in other games...

Not sure I believe this rumor....

143GB

I’m in the Northeast and nothing up yet.

Can confirm that you can initiate the install from Xbox.com as long as you’re signed in. It’s separate downloads for SP and MP, file sizes 100.84 MB each, so probably not full downloads but placeholders.

There’s a difference in developing new tech and implimenting existing tech. Just like building a new game engine for a game is a different process than developing game on an existing game engine.

A bunch of people (maybe press?) got to play CD3 recently, impressions coming soon.

Sounds like MS nailed it. I hope this is as good as it sounds.
I'm pretty sure they did. In the podcast, Phil mentioned that CD3 didnt feel like Crackdown hence why they went back to the drawing board until it did. I got a feeling its going to be a great game especially for those of us who liked the original CD. It's the rest of the pessimistic arm chair devs and jaded journalists that built a entire careers off of negative Xbox news that the game will have to contend with.

Like what i was reading until i read gamepass..
Why? All MS first party games go on GP on Day 1.
I’m betting there will be a big spike in GP numbers just for CD. And they’ve already shown people with GP are 6x more likely to buy a game after playing it on GP.

I’m still expecting around high 70s on metacritic but I don’t care, I can’t wait for the SP.

DRMing your games...well they are not yours with gamepass is not good.

People who don't wanna own there games and or those who don't buy many games it's more suited for.

f*** gameass i will not support it in anyway including a trial.

DRM ...really? I hope you aren't supporting gaming at all then. Lol.

And the difference between Gamepass and a buying digital game is what exactly? Oh yeah, nothing.

Semantics.

Other than how you pay there is no real difference between Gamepass and digital purchases.
