Looks slick. Just hoping the player movement isn't so slip-sliding. I know the original CD games moved like that, but could tone it down a bit.

Sumo Digital is helping out. Like the guys from IGN here say, it's probably for the driving mechanics, to make sure they are fun this time. Not that they were bad perse in the previous two, but it could have been a lot better and more fun.

Oh and i love how this game looks right from the start, that part where he looks over the city....so impressive.

This looks cool, I always thought Crackdown was a decent series, they just need to make a little more to do in it.

And if it's going to look similar to this/better when it releases...

I can only love and not hate. Awesome. The guy in the video does say this is not entirely representative of the gameplay though, but that makes sense. Cause for one, that AR is never going to destroy buildings in the full game and i assume there's probably a limit to what you can destroy, otherwise there will be no building left after a while. But it's incredibly promising and i bet some fools on GAF are now eating crow with their...''Heh...cloud bulls***'' bulls***.

Actually, one of the bullet points of C3 is that the entire city is 100% destructible. And yes. GaF is trying to get their heads around this whole technology as we speak! lol.I've been drinking my morning coffee enjoying the hell out of it too!

Their even going so far as to make excuses for how Microsoft can't maintain the cost of this servers behind the tech. Thats how you know when you've got something. People try to wrap their heads around it and keep hitting brick walls. LOL. Hence why there are pages and pages on GaF of the same banter.

Server strain IS something to think about. I've got to believe they have thought of this, though. Another thing to remember is that you won't be able to create that level of destruction all the time, as the demo was using multiple people with over-powered weapons for demo purposes. That alone will keep some strain off the servers. Of Course, you know there will be people out there trying to cause as much simultaneous mayhem as possible, lol.

Thanks for sharing. That's some real next gen sh*t there. 1080p this 60fps that lol. This is a landmark in gaming right here. MS have proved that they can make your console a lot more powerful through the use of cloud computing. I'm very excited for the future. I trust MS to deliver on this tech and they should be applauded for their innovation.

The level of destruction looks amazing!

I do hope that they can get the lighting looking a lot better, as well as the animations. It looks so much like earlier Crackdowns right now... which I'd probably still play. I mean those games were ugly in their own time, but it was always about the smooth gameplay and draw distance... but still, if they could crank it up on top of that...

Check the official trailer and as soon as it starts....where it says in engine gameplay, where the protagonist watches over the city. That looks fantastic. But that;s not how the other gameplay parts look. I would love it if it's going to look that good as the in engine bit though, boy that looks goddamn nice.

Hopefully that's the target for the visuals. What was shown is the testing environment. They've a long way to go, and if that's the goal, then I'm good. It's not too far fetched given how nice open world games look bow, and since they are offloading the physics, it should be possible.

Well...the Imgur pics from the previous pics, those seem to be ingame, while that already looks really nice, it's not quite how it looks in the beginning part.

I assume ingame it now looks like this:

But during the behind the scenes part, they showed C3 on that PC monitor, a fight against some robot. That looked more bland than the above gifs. Yeah it's very early days for this one it seems, which honestly surprises me a little. I guess development only started last year when they announced it?

it would not surprise me if this is a 2017 title, even though we do get multiplayer beta in summer next year.

I'm not ready to hand out plates of crow just yet. But at least we finally have an in game example as proof of concept.

What pisses me off about the destruction in Red Faction Guerilla (and it's sequel), is that the Physics destruction was amazing.... and no one else seems interested in taking it to another level until now. There was a moment where I thought it was going to be in everything (what with euphoria and that Digital deforming tech seen in that Star Wars game). Took long enough...

I've thought of that before. Red Faction, Stranglehold, Gears of War 2 and onwards, they all had a ton of destructible environments, to varying degrees. But destructible environments popularity fizzled out right after gears of war 3. So disappointing at the time, the "DMM" used in the force unleashed seemed so promising.

Here's hoping for an appropriate return.

Pretty incredible. I like how the lights go out in that one building after the big one topples into it.

Cloud is still a gimmick?

Till the s*** is working well in my home yes but really it's been done before not like it's new so I hope MS pulls it off well. It can and has already been done but with a company the size of MS doing I hope it works great.
