"We are going with the same plans that we set," CD Projekt Red joint CEO Adam Kiciński reiterated. "[Cyberpunk 2077] was always designed for [PS4 and Xbox One]. We are thinking about the next generation, but for now, we are focused on the current generation. That plan is still valid."

Still, it'll be playable on series X, so... not enhanced though it seems.

I am ok with this. Kind of a coincidence that it is being delayed to September. Around the time Nvidia releases their Ampere GPUs. Which I am totally ok with too as I will be upgrading to Ampere.

It's obvious that is the real reason.
Game was running on dual 1080ti's to achieve 4k/30fps.
I wonder if a third party would be allowed to code the game to work on PS4 Pro/X1X or higher? And put that on the box.

I THINK That's what's happening but I dunno who's doing it.
Probably doing it themselves.
Some are saying that if RDR2 can run on the standard consoles, and RDR2 is a larger more demanding game, they should be able to get this running on the standard consoles. Not sure how they know whether or RDR2 is more demanding.

So.. rumor is that the game needed more time to run well enough on consoles.
Well... seems like a logic reason, don't need insiders for that lol

Why would a game that is going to be two years old at CP2077's release be relevant at this point?

Well that and a new release which is close to the new consoles launch.

Expect announcements regarding enhancements anywhere from now till June with February being the earliest.

Yeah and even though RD2 is demanding... I don't see it being more demanding than CB2077 especially if they add RT.
They are both doing radically different things, but CB2077 looks to be far more complex, moment to moment. More going on on screen, faster pace, etc. RDR2 has a lot of systems, but you aren't rendering the number of characters, lights, animated Ads, video, cars, and options on top of systems.

I get what you are trying to say but I wouldn't use SLI as an indicator of anything optimized or un-optimized.

Also Cory Barlog spoke on Cyberpunk allegedly running badly:

I'm trying to picture who would play that woman character in a Brazzers version of the game.
