Dead Nation: Apocalypse edition: PS4, March 4th

I'd reach out to Sony. You should be able to get that refunded being a Plus member. It popped up that it was a Plus game for me, saying I wouldn't be able to play it if I wasn't a member, but it wanted the funds anyway.

Yeah, I plan to call them up. I'm just not upset because I've had funds in my PSN wallet for months now and I'm glad I have the game downloading as we speak, or maybe its done already, hmmmmm.

Either way, I still want my money back. But so much for the convenience of the phone app, hahaha. I'm sure they will get it fixed soon.

Note: if you process into your basket using the website, you need to click "view download list" after your process into the account and then from there, start the download manually. Not sure if you need to do that for the app?

Yep, downloading now. Between this, BFSA, and the Killzone maps, I have my evening in order.

Perhaps I can tell the wife to go shopping.

The Second Assault maps are a lot of fun, FYI. People playing them seem to have much better connections as well.

Game is fun, grabbed a quick shot. Looks like devs putting tags on screen caps is going to become a thing.

Long as its in the corner I don't mind that way I know WTF game someone is posting. Only issue is hard to tell if its a company shot or fans unless they say.

Played it for a bit, it didn't grab me but I'm sure I'll get back to it soon. Using R1 to shoot sucks big time though.

Nearly played all the way to the level I'd reached on the PS3 version. Having a lot of fun with it. At one point I was #341 on the Global Leaderboards for points. I'm sure that won't be the case by this time tomorrow!

It definitely looks nicer than it did on PS3, a lot easier on the eyes to look for little details. I sure do love Housemarque games.

It's a ok game for being free so can't complain..however The aiming is a pain to get used too so I kinda turned it off quick Or maybe I just suck at it lol..

I really like this game and it feels new to me since its been so long since playing it and I didn't put the much time into the PS3 version.

The game is fair too, enemies hit you and you slow for a second or two but melee an enemy and that slows them as well. But now I have a problem, my L1 button is sticky. I don't know how that happened with the controller essentially being new but sure enough it sticks making the firing of the default weapon annoying. I've tried different button configs to address this problem but haven't found a setting I like.

I've had three controllers develop this issue playing Pinball Arcade (which uses L1/L2 for bumpers). I solved the issue however and now all have been working flawlessly, even better than when new. Here's what I did.

The buttons can be safely pried off without needing to disassemble the controller. Once removed, I cleaned off the mating socket (for lack of a better term) using an air duster and then applied a bit of Teflon lubricant (dry) to the shafts. The buttons just snap right back on and you will have a much better experience once all is said and done. Works like a charm and takes no more than a few minutes. I actually returned one controller for this when it first happened, but the replacement developed the same issue shortly after so I think exchanging them is kind of pointless.

I highly recommend investing in a pair (or two) of Kontrolfreaks. I'm new to them, but they've helped a ton with my aim in all games, particularly FPS games though. I highly recommend a tall one for the aiming stick, and shorter one for the movement stick.

I can pull off the charged headshots on most all of the zombie types, rarely missing, with these badboys. Used to be less than easy to do on the PS3 version using the stock sticks, so either I'm just considerably better at video games in my old age (unlikely) or these stupid rubber tips on the end of my controllers have helped.

Thanks for the tips, I’ll try it out tonight.

I didn’t know the buttons would come out if you pulled on them. The only thing I tried last night was a bit of alcohol on a cotton swap and a few sprays from compressed air. But the space between the button and controller is so small that I don’t think any of the alcohol made its way through to make a difference. But if I can take the buttons off as you describe and clean around the casing I think that will do the trick.

My R1 got a little funky from spotting on the time in BF4, but it somehow fixed itself. I'll have to peel it off next time it does it and see if there's cleaning I can do.

My R1 and L1 buttons sometime get stuck for a few seconds but then become okay again. I'll try that clean up trick next time if I encounter it again.

I've caught up with the point I reached on the PS3 version. It sure is a lot easier with regular check points, unlike how the game was when it initially came out..

Caught up too, and now its uncharted territory from here on out. I'm trying to upgrade my weapons like the shotgun and SMG but its tough because I'm also working on upgrading my hear as well. Those flairs and grenades sure do come in handy when you sudden burst of zombies come running at you. I think it would be cool if they add in vehicle sections in a sequel.
