Spotted out in the wild, Amazon's Destiny listing notes that pre-orders will received a beta key for all platforms. I'm going to classify this as massively cool!

Pre-order "Destiny" and receive access to the upcoming beta. Beta will be available in early 2014 on the following platforms: PS4 system, PS3 system, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Limited time only. While beta codes last. Internet connection is required. Amazon will email you your beta access code within 1 business days of you placing your pre-order. Offer valid when shipped and sold by Amazon.com. This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders. Limited to one per customer order. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time (restrictions apply).
Help support the site and pre-order Destiny from Amazon!

Took Amazon a little bit to get the site updated to reflect this (at least it did for me), but they finally did and I've officially preordered it. My first preorder of this gen! Woo!

I received these codes and will not be using them since I no longer have a PS4. Really want to give them to someone who is going to use them and not try and sell them.

Please post in this thread or send me a Private Message
Thanks

hmm I got an extra hard line code I got one today it seems. I can just forward the one 2040 give me.

Did anyone else have problems with this ? The sound would cut out, my guide button stopped working and the PS4 could only be switched off by pulling the power lead out. I tried the demo 4 times and it did that every time. The first time before it'd even loaded, I was stuck on a loading screen. The second was looking at the tutorial and the 3rd and 4th times after a couple of matches.

I just deleted it in the end.

I'm down for Hardline for sure. I signed up for one but got nuthin'.

Am I the only one who thinks hardline is just more damn fun than bf4?

Destiny beta starts July 17th on PS4. I've heard that it'll come to the Xbox platforms a week or two later, by the end of July, although no firm date has been announced at this point.

Be among the first to blaze a trail through the wild frontiers of Destiny. Pre-order and receive access to the upcoming beta. Beta begins on 07/17/14 on PS4™ system (PlayStation Plus required for some features) and PS3™ system. Soon after on Xbox One and Xbox 360 (Xbox Live Gold required). Beta date subject to change. Limited time only. While beta codes last.

There was an earlier story implying that anyone with PS plus account might get access to the beta, but that's not true. You can only access the beta if you pre-order.

I missed the alpha so i cant wait to play the beta and will be the deciding factor if i decide to buy the game or not. i have heard its good so i am pretty sure i will be purchasing this when it comes out.

You can only play it with a pre-order? lol no thanks. Not even worth the time of doing a fake pre-order at Amazon.

I can't bring myself to do the fake pre-order thing at Amazon. I'm just too upstanding a citizen.

I'll be able to play the PS3 beta and then 4 days later the X1 beta. :txbcool:

Where's the 4 days come from? I saw that in the X1 thread, too. I don't think they've announced a date. I heard one or two weeks or by the end of July.

Why not do what a normal citizen would do and pre-order in good faith. Then, when you play the Beta and you decide you really don't like the game, just cancel then or better yet, keep the order because the game is awesome. With Amazon, you can cancel with no penalty at any time and they don't charge you until the game ships.

Hm. Something to think about, thanks.
