Destiny Beta (official thread)

is it known when the beta ends? i'm thinking of pre-ordering the last of us (releases 29th i believe) but i wont be playing it until the beta finishes
 
I am excited for the beta. I was in the alpha and was surprised how much i liked it. I typically am not a shooter fan at all. I tend to play RPGs most the time but something really hooked me. If it does again during the beta, i'll definitely be getting this game.
 
I think I'd have to sell my holy balls if I wanted to be able to buy that thing. Luckily, I don't want to.

So by my calculation, the X1 gets 4 days to play the beta and the PS4 gets 10. Am I the only one this bothers? This is my GOTY and I'm just so frustrated on how this is panning out. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I am a fanboy and MS did the same with COD!!

I think it is 5 vs 9 as the servers are down on 21-22. I mean its not exclusive like the alpha or the X1 Evolve beta so it could be worse.

So we don't get a******s from other section to talk sh!t about how this is better. This is very clear that this is an Xbox version.

I hope the expansions are pretty long, most likely will get them on release, i am surprised there isnt a season pass item for this yet.

I was "meh" until I saw some vehicle multiplayer footage, as well as RadBrad's walkthrough on Youtube. The footage was so "Halo" That I just feel compelled to play it! Looked pretty awesome.

There is... $34.99 for the two or $19.99 each on their own. Still pretty pricey though but according to Bungie they are pretty hefty pieces of DLC.
 
so PS gets 6 days early release of beta? thats a long time, what a shame

they should give the option for at least 4 future expansions like other games usually do with their season pass. I think borderlands 2 has done the best with the dlc and season pass offerings i have seen.
 
So 4 days for Xbox people. That sucks. I know it awesome that we get a beta ay all, it they've been hyping this beta FOR A YEAR now. Ads all over the place saying pre-order to get access to the beta, and we get it for 4 days?

I really have no problem with the PS4 exclusive stuff or even the fact that the ps4 gets the beta early, but to hype the crap out of the beta and to make it a major selling point to get a pre-order to only have 4 days....not cool.

I just hope they don't have server issues the 1st day or two. That would cut it down even more
