ok you lazy s*** I used my other Amazon account to get a code. If you end up not needing it pass it forward or get a new one pass it forward.

PS4 owners, you don't need to pre-order from Amazon or any other retailer, just use the PS store. I pre-ordered and it added the beta to my downloads, so as soon as it's available it will auto DL to my PS4. Once the beta is finished it will take me a good 5 seconds to then delete the pre-order from my account. It also said funds would not be taken for payment until launch week in September, so you don't need funds in your wallet to pre-order either.

Not true. You do need at least the cost of the game in funds in order to pre-order from PSN (I tried with $25 and it wouldn't let me), though you are correct that they are not used up until the game releases. So yeah, you can game PSN like Amazon, but it takes a bit more commitment because you can't get your PSN money back, but you can of course use it for something else.

I had no funds in my wallet and it let me pre-order, beta was added to my downloads, PS store just said they expect me to have the funds in my wallet by the week before it ships in September.

If I do like the beta and get this game I think I will go with the DD version. That way I can just start it up to play an hour here or there without having to get the disc.

I just want more details on DLC. I don't care about daily updates if it's just BS that cost 1.99 here 2.99 there. Without content updates this game is pointless. I can't picture greedy ass Activision giving away meaty content for free.

Edit- just tried to preorder again

I get a message saying I need to add funds and it won't let me preorder. When do you preorder? They might have changed it because people were abusing it.

I've just remembered I pre-ordered BF Hardline as well thinking it would help me get into the beta, which it did. I never had funds for that either, I just cancelled the pre-order the minute the beta was over.

First, I order plenty from Amazon, so I don't feel inclined to fully go with the purchase.

Secondly, I wish I could have done some sort of pre-order digitally. That's my primary reason for pre-ordering a physical copy to get the beta code.

Amazon stills gets my business in all sorts of matters. Bungie will get their cut, because I will get it digitally....so will MS.
 
PS4 owners are so lucky to be able to start their beta on the 17th!! I watched all the Alpha coverage and this is definitely my must have game!! Hopefully us X1 gamers can jump on on the 21st!! (fingers crossed)
 
I'm assuming the beta will be the same content we already played in the alpha?
 
I think there will be more game modes and features enabled for the beta, i thought i read that somewhere but i could be wrong. either way very eager to try this out.
 
I am going to hopefully hop into the beta. I have the game preordered in full for the Xbox One. I know the PS4 version seems superior but I haven't gotten an Xbox One game in a while and I prefer the controller over the PS4s.

Superior these days just means a slight difference that will not mean crap to 99% of people.
 
I have an extra Destiny beta I just got from my BB preorder if anyone wants one. First one to PM gets it.
 
I can't wait to play Destiny on the Xbox One. With the power of the cloud the game will be taken to new heights.
 
well here is a spoiler it'll look the same as the PS4 version. Game is not ugly but damn sure did not have a s***-ton of stuff going on in the looks department.

Will be nice to see how it compares to the 4 version for people who have both.

I wanna see Halo 5 or even Halo 2 Anniversary vs Destiny. Should be fun to compare.

This looks pretty much exactly like the PS4 version from what I saw, though we obviously can't see how the framerate is handling with that stop-start video they have here.

Numbers? As in framerate and resolution? Cause in that case it has been said to be the same on both platforms with this one. I am so not hyped for this game though. The promise is great, the concept sounds awesome...but as soon as we started to see gameplay videos and after having played the alpha....nah...just a big meh in my book.
