I never bothered to research the complaints a lot of PC players had about this game in the early goings. what was the major issue with it? my friend and I have been enjoying the hell out of Neverwinter for the last couple weeks so I'm really looking forward to this.
I think one of the biggest complaints was that people expected it to be like Skyrim in an MMO setting, but it was more like.....other MMOs.
It's a good MMO, and certainly better than Neverwinter. Just go into it expecting it to be more MMO and less Skyrim/Oblivion.
Here are some of the complaints over at Amazon......this will give you an idea of how gamers were too dumb to understand what an MMO is:
1. The game was too much like an MMO, not like Skyrim
2. (this one is word for word what someone said, lol): I would give this game five stars but there is no single-player at all. Skyrim was the best game ever but Bethesda forgot to put a campaign in which is a massive loss.
3. (another word for word 1 star review): Its nothing like skyrim
4. this is a lot like other games like warcraft but it incorporates some classic elder scrolls features (well, duhhhh, it's an MMO)
5. If you like quests this is the game for you. If you like more quests, this game is really for you. If you like nothing but quests you might make it to the max veteran rank. If you dont like quests that much you will burn out just like I did 1 month after the game launched. There is no end game, the only way to level up is quests. So have fun. (yeah, ummmm, like every other MMO, because, you know...it's an MMO).
6. I especially love this 1 star negative review from a year ago......"I wasted my money on the wrong one, i thought i bought the one for PS4 but this one is for PC. Learn how to advertise better gosh. Who plays games on a computer anyways?" (I can't believe how incredibly stupid they are, considering that it wasn't announced for consoles until this year, and the game on the amazon site clearly says for PC)
