So I had this happen this morning...

Same happened to me when the bad guy I killed had a quest item I needed. Except he fell behind a wall between Goodneighbor and the rest of the city which I couldn't get to. It was frustrating as s***. I must have spent thirty minutes trying to find him. I finally gave up and re loaded my save. Pissed me off.

I always think people who really enjoyed & can make great level using the game tools should considering making their own game. Making a game is a huge % putting things together to make levels.

Invest a bit of time into learning making game assert & learn or find partner in coding.

That's stunning. I really hope we see that on console, and before too much longer.

Any word on when we can expect mod support? I'll be pissed if it takes until the end of the year.
I don't know how it all works, but a friend of mine is on Xbox One and he is already using mods for Fallout 4. He says he uses the Edge browser on the Xbox, goes to a site (not sure which site it is, but I can ask him if you like), and is able to add mods to his. He said they are mostly cosmetic. Not sure if they are official though.

I don't understand much about this either, but I am surprised that he can install anything onto his X1 from an external website, even through the console browser. I thought that was strictly off limits.

Even if possible, I think I'd prefer to wait for the official version, just to be safe. Mainly because I wouldn't have the first clue what to do if anything went wrong. Thanks for the offer though man!

I would like to know, I just need to decorate my settlement then i'm done but the stock items are pretty boring, I would love some mods like that Bioshock themed settlement.

It also sucks they hide some decorations in some books scattered around the commonwealth.

I just text him. I will post what it is when I hear back.

Intelligence increases XP so I wish I would have maxed that out at the beginning. And The perks that get you rare materials on item breakdown wish I would have gotten those sooner and known how to create supply lines. Hope that helps.

So there must have been some confusion, but I think it's odd. I asked me, and he said it is mdmods.com, but now he is telling me he NEVER used them, and figured that is how it works (I work with him). I swear he said he was downloading them with the Edge browser, and I even asked how that is possible on the X1. I asked where they would get downloaded to, and how would you see them in the storage. Now he is saying that the website says that the mods are for PC, and "should work on Xbox One", as in, they should at some point.

Sorry about getting your hopes up. I don't understand where the miscommunication was.

This new patch has some serious problems attached to it.
The main culprit being it has increased loading times for alot of users on PC.

I have noticed it as well. I have my Fallout install on one of my intel SSDs and after opting into the beta patch it increased my loading times from 2-3 seconds to 3-4 MINUTES.

Fast travel from Sanctuary to Diamond City took almost 5 minutes. I'm not joking either I timed it. :meh:

Bethesda is looking into it, but the amount of simultaneous reads/writes to my SSD is a concern (as it decreases SSD lifespan faster) so I'm going to hold off on playing the game for a bit.

I read that turning off HBAO+ and Nvidia exclusive debris reduces the loading time. I haven't tested this. Fallout 4 looks great with HBAO+ on.

I might try it, but you are right it does look great with HBAO.
During my test run with the new patch I did notice GPU scaling for SLI has improved so at least I'm getting more usage out of both my cards than before.
Still trying to figure out what the 'Weapon Debris' does LOL. I didn't notice anything different. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Ah that's alright I did some poking around earlier and it seems an official mod creation kit for PC is on the cards for an early 2016 realease with X1 following soon after then PS4 after that. So hopefully not a very long wait.
