Haven't played F4 in ages. But as a whole it's the best one. It's just that it's more like Fallout 3.5. Solid game, but not exactly brimming with new gameplay.By the way, what is this forum's consensus on Fallout 4? Better than 3? Better than Vegas? About the same?
I totally did not use nude mods. Except for educational purpose.Anyone here using mods? ppl on gaf are acting like they are a godsend for the game.

Yeah, the mod situation isn't looking good on PS4. Not sure whether it's Bethesda's usual incompetence with Sony hardware or Sony's proprietary this and that. Probably more the latter, from what I've heard.
Does the base game on PS4 suffer? Did anyone here pick it up for PS4? I'm considering it, but I don't want a PS3-type Skyrim experience. Did Bethesda do ok with the base game?
The game runs fine on ps4 outside of mods. Nothing like skyrim.

I tried telling you they don't care about PlayStation for some reason, lol. Doesn't matter which console is more popular, they put more effort into Xbox versions for whatever reason even though all versions are buggy. I'll laugh if the Skyrim remaster runs worse on PS4 than it did on PS3.
I found the building/crafting to be great fun, so don't cut yourself off from it yet! Finally started into Fallout 4. Played a couple of hours. It certainly looks a lot better than Fallout 3 did, although it's still that same old hoary Bethesda game engine underneath. I will probably avoid all the crafting and building, because I already know the game is going to be a tremendous time-sink, and I don't want to add too much to that. I've never been all that into crafting and building stuff anyhow. I just like wandering around, exploring.
Played to Level 7 or so, ended up quitting. When I'd log off, I'd feel sort of tense and irritated at myself for having spent my time on it. It feels like more of the same to me. More of the same enemies. More of the same game systems (scrounging through burned-out buildings for supplies, lots of time spent fiddling with menu screens and comparing items, etc.) ... meh. I think I'm just tired of the Fallout universe. It doesn't stoke my imagination anymore. It did the first game (Fallout 3, I mean), but it doesn't anymore. I can't see myself spending 100 to 200 hours doing this.
Maybe after Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, I'm just tired of the Bethesda open world formula. Surprised to hear myself say that. There was a time when I would've said Bethesda is my favorite developer. Maybe I need to take the picture of Todd Howard off my locker. Or maybe my feelings are just specific to Fallout. I don't know.
Andy,
I felt FO4 started slower than FO3 and overall I still think 3 was the better game. 4 does get better though but by all means leave Preston behind and trek forward in the story.
