Button mashing is a term related to the fighting game genre where an unskilled player can quickly/randomly press buttons and see some success against more skilled opponents. The Dead or Alive series is commonly labeled this.
Fortnites skill gap is insanely high.
But you already know that because you tried it and most likely got **** on for 20 minutes by better players. (Which is a problem Epic needs to address)
Fortnite is quite literally the exact opposite of a "button masher".
Is it possible to play a game without creating a UnionVGF thread? Hmmm, I think we need to consult someone far smarter than both of us to find that answer.

It sounds like the crossplay issues are coming to an end sooner or later. Here's a new quote from Shawn Layden.

This morning my local news channel NY1 News did a story on this game. They said it generated over $300 million for the month of May with over $800 million in the last three months. I knew this game was huge but I didn't know it was printing money like that. Another rather surprising statistic is they said over 30% of players had never made in-game purchases before playing Fortnite. Wow, one game making this much bank is crazy. No wonder both Battlefield and Call of Duty are jumping on the Battle Royal bandwagon.
I still have yet to try this game out. But I'm going to check it out soon just to see what's all the fuss about.

Check it out in 3 days (June 30th). There are missile sirens going off near the end of matches today and this countdown is showing up on the TVs in all versions of the game now...
Season 4 is about to end so the map craziness is starting to pick up.
PS:. This game will change your life. It's that good.
It looks like tomorrow, there's going to be a one time event happening on the map at 1:30pm ET. It'll obviously be all over YouTube afterwards but it is pretty interesting. I could see things like this growing into something really cool down the road.
The rocket event was much cooler than I expected!! I'll be posting a few YouTube clips as soon as they're up...
The ominous robotic voiceover seems to be saying the following during the launch.

The Sunset Limited what are your thoughts on double pump? I don't normally use it but I decided to try it today in a game. It just absolutely wrecks people. I kind of feel like it's cheap.
You know, I don't really encounter it enough on PS4 to be annoyed with it, but it kind of baffles me that Epic hasn't fixed it yet (Do they even want to?). I say abuse it for as long as you can until Epic does something about it. It's Battle Royale. We're not here to make friends!

Apparently, God smiled upon a pretty crappy Fortnite player (.47 KD, .6% win rate) during the rocket launch.
There was kind of this unofficial armistice during the rocket event so a bunch of players built this massive structure to watch it from together.
Long story short, this legend saw his opportunity, knocked it down, and now has the solo kill record in Fortnite with 48 kills. Sadly, he did not win the match.
Some people on Reddit were making death threats against this player so the thread got locked. ****Ing hilarious.

If I was him I'd try booking appearances on Conan, Fallon, Kimmel, and Good Morning America this week. Then he fields offers from Paramount, Sony, and Disney for the feature film next week. He's got to be knee deep in so much ****y right now. What a legend.
