Well him backing off is not news but why doesn't Microsoft or Remedy reconfirm it?

That might not feel its even worth giving him any more attention than he deserves. 2015, nothing has changed other than some tweet from some guy.

Yeah but they are giving him credibility not not saying anything. People were already wondering about it before he said a word.

I'll wait until MS confirms it, its still slated as 2015 as of now.

I'll wait until MS reconfirms a date before I believe anything

Not sure what benefit there would be to create confusion about when your games are coming.

You can ask Sony the same question about when DriveClub's PS+ edition is coming and see if they'll answer. Many have tried. All have failed.

I think Danny does a good job of expressing how I feel about this gen so far:

Where is it?

I don't think there is any demand for it, it wasn't well received critically, it didn't sell all that great and it's not like PS4 owners have been asking for it all that much. The point is Crytek said they are open to doing it so it's not a true exclusive to Xbox anymore. I'm pretty sure PS4 owners would like Tomb Raider even a year later if that's how long they had to wait.

I know I was, they have all of their exclusives lumped into a 2-3 month window which doesn't make sense, then you look at who's developing the games and Remedy is pretty (in)famous for delaying their projects.

Maybe not idk, I just see its not on ps4, that's all I can see. For DR3 was a bit better received, same result, not on ps4, but on PC. I honestly feel MS is doing what they can do delay their games or snuff them out completely from being on ps4. I wouldn't be surprised if TR ever comes to ps4, and if it does its well over a year after xbox.

It sold over a million copies on Xbox One, that's not good anymore? Probably a decent amount online as well, with all the sales and deals going on and the Legendary Edition.

Anyways, you are pretty optimistic to expect an MS published game to come to PS at any decent time frame. That'd be completely unprecedented, no?

Post some release dates for us.

Legit baffled by this line. G'derm!

You people act like the Tomb Raider deal isn't already done. How many PS4's are going to be in peoples homes by Q4 2015? Good God people...

I don't think it'd even make financial sense to spend the money/time doing it, if the game had been a huge hit it'd probably be a different story but nobody even talks about it anymore and haven't for a long time unless they are strictly talking about the best graphics on that console.

Ryse sold 1 million, DR3 sold even more. How many launch games on these new consoles were a huge hit? that's fairly difficult on brand new install base. I just think you are very optimistic at 6months for TR, maybe if you were a PC owner I could see that.

MS's newest studios already have games announced for the most part so again they've mostly blown their load as far as announcements. That doesn't mean there aren't a couple of things coming that we haven't heard about but Sony has a lot of teams we haven't heard from yet.

They haven't "blown their load". There's still a few more games coming to the Xbox One this year that haven't been announced yet. I know of at least one that will more than likely be considered another "big" game (and will go very well with the Xbox 360's 10th anniversary **hint hint**).

It's coming across (based on your posting tone and frequency in this thread) as if you really want MS to not show anything else and/or delay content just as a strange form of "payback" due to Uncharted 4 getting delayed.

Edit: Also, Tomb Raider is timed as of right now. It's set to come to the PS4 some time in 2016. It's what I've been told by a few (very credible) sources (who were spot on with the information they've been giving me for a years now).

May be, but I don't believe it until I've see it, deals change too, MS might have an option that's open to keep the series away from certain consoles that we don't know about. How is it exactly you have been told by "a few" credible sources, that's a very suspect statement I hope you realize. Just think of the likelihood of one person knowing that many people so close to this information. You must surround yourself with some extreme insiders, top level execs etc. Now, if you had said one, that would still be a long shot, but way more believable. Think about that logically and reply.

Since you have known these sources for so long can anyone here back you up as credible? Surely you have tons of ppl here that would back up your insiders right? Or are you choosing this exact moment in time to reveal your rock solid insider knowledge when you've stayed quite for so long?

Either way if it does come to ps4 later its not a huge, earthshattering prediction, I just find it less likely this gen for MS to let it go, especially less than a year.

The thread doesn't say 2015 game lineup it says game lineup comparison yet the PS4 has no games compared to X1 line has been going around since launch and people are now using what's coming later in the years as a basis for it.

The threads not. The discussion has been though.

One million isn't unheard of for early exclusives, there isn't much competition and that was the best looking game the console. I haven't seen it officially reported on when it hit one million in sales either, not saying you are wrong I just haven't read it and couldn't find it during a quick search. Just to compare though all of Sony's early exclusive retail games sold over a million as well.

As far as Tomb Raider you may well be right, 6 months is just an example. For all we know it could be 3 months later or a year later but I have no doubt that it will come to PS4 at some point.

MS will have a harder time with 3rd party games staying exclusive if they aren't able to close the gap, even if they pay out the rear for the games it's just bad business for the future of a game franchise not to have it made available on the best selling platform.

Payback? really? lol I normally have you on ignore and I only saw your post because I wanted to see who someone else was replying to. I'm going to reply to your "payback" line just because it was so stupid it made me laugh. I've been saying this since they announced all of those games last year! this isn't the first time I've said it and it has nothing to do with UC being delayed and trying to make that connection is insane lol. You really need to stop being so defensive about the Xbox One, we all have a bias and I admit mine maybe it's about time you did as well.

MS has announced games from almost all of the studios they have, I know Rare has something coming, maybe even a second smaller game and there is probably going to be a Gears of war remake or something but other than that they've already given out most of what they are working on, it's only common sense. They announced crackdown too early, they had nothing to show, they announced that game from Black Tusk that ended up being cancelled after they bought Gears of War so we know that's coming.

Tomb Raider is very popular in Europe and the Xbox One isn't doing well there (outside of the UK). It would cost MS a lot of (unnecessary) money to keep the game completely off the PS4. This is different from Titanfall -- we are talking about a brand that's been around for decades that has very strong ties to the Playstation brand.

I'm just telling the truth. I would be lying if I said that only one person told me. Multiple people have told me "it's definitely timed".

I've been pretty quiet though I did give some info about Forza Horizon 2 before it got announced.

Either way if it does come to ps4 later its not a huge, earthshattering prediction, I just find it less likely this gen for MS to let it go, especially less than a year.

It's exclusive to the Xbox One during the most important season of the year for game sales (Holiday season). They really don't need a deal that's a whole year when the majority of sales will be coming during those few months of exclusivity (again, the Holiday season).

They have announced pretty much everything from their big studios, but its fine. They should have 2 good 1st party exclusives in 2016 with Gears & Crackdown. I wouldn't be surprised to see Playground games bring us another Horizon or maybe a PGR in 2016. What else they have up their sleeve remains to be seen.

Hololens should be 2016, right?

I'm not being defensive about the Xbox One -- All I did was say that they didn't "blow their load". They still have games yet to be announced. You using MCC to somehow prove why they would delay a different big game coming this year is just as big of a stretch as someone using (say) Driveclub as proof for a 2015 PS4 exclusive getting delayed.

Menace-UK explained why it was a stretch but yet you replied as if he was defending MCC's major launch issues.

You really need to stop being so defensive about the Xbox One, we all have a bias and I admit mine maybe it's about time you did as well.

Haha, same ol lines. I've stated before that the Xbox One has a more appealing game lineup for me personally (hence why I got it) so I really don't get why some of you continue on with these type of lines + I'm not sure as to what that has to do with me saying you're wrong when it comes to MS showing everything that they have in store for 2015.

MS has announced games from almost all of the studios they have,

Really? What's Press Play working on then? How about Big Park Studios, Decisive Games, or Lift London?

I know Rare has something coming, maybe even a second smaller game and there is probably going to be a Gears of war remake or something but other than that they've already given out most of what they are working on, it's only common sense.

"It's only common sense?" Haha, okay.

They announced crackdown too early, they had nothing to show, they announced that game from Black Tusk that ended up being cancelled after they bought Gears of War so we know that's coming.

So the situations for those games means that there's nothing else coming even though different games have various (different) PR/announcement schedules?

Remedy the studio behind QB delays games constantly, I'm surprised you didn't know that.

I know that, of course. Been a huge Remedy fan since they came onto the gaming scene. Great developer to have making exclusive games for the Xbox. Probably one of the best, if not the best.

I'm glad you liked Halo 4, but you have to admit the online community for it shrank faster than any Halo before it.

Yup. Seems par for the course with most of these online games lately. The online numbers have been shrinking, as more and more games come out with online, stretching out the user base across all these titles now.

Tomb Raider is a Holiday 2015 exclusive that doesn't mean a true exclusive.

We know it is coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360. No doubt it will come to PC in 2016. Phil mentioned it was just like the Dead Rising deal, which finally came to PC too.

MS's newest studios already have games announced for the most part so again they've mostly blown their load as far as announcements.

Nah, they still have more to announce from studios that haven't made announcements as well. That is good thing for gamers no doubt.

That doesn't mean there aren't a couple of things coming that we haven't heard about but Sony has a lot of teams we haven't heard from yet.

That's great. But that doesn't help us with 2015, which is lackluster on the PS4. Sad but true.

Maybe they know nobody wants it

I'm sure nobody on the PS platform wants it because it was on Xbox.

So add another huge exclusive release to the 2015 list I suppose.

Yup, great news indeed!

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/quantum-break

That's all we know for now. Slated as 2015 on their site.

Facts are not permitted at Union, silly buns.

I know I was, they have all of their exclusives lumped into a 2-3 month window

Must be talking about Sony I assume?

It sold over a million copies on Xbox One, that's not good anymore?

Depends on the platform.

Post some release dates for us.

Yes, we are all waiting for them as well. I am glad he has the inside scoop. What are those dates please.

I don't even understand the assumption that QB might be delayed based off of some random guy on Twitter. Makes no sense.

If I go on Twitter and say Uncharted 4 is now delayed to 2017, do you think Sony will respond? Why would a company respond to some random trolly f*** comment on Twitter with zero basis in reality?

To be fair, it is more than one twitter rumour. There have been several rumours since E3. Plus, we have Phil Spencer saying he is not sure how all the current fall games are going to release this year. Then you have the Remedy Alan Wake debacle.

Having said that, it is hardly cause for treating it as a foregone conclusion. Right now it is slated for 2015, and IMO, that is the end of discussion.
