To be fair, it is more than one twitter rumour. There have been several rumours since E3.

This is honestly the first time I have heard anything about a delay of QB since the announcement. Not to mention, this was just some random guy on the internet.

Back in January, I think, there was a rumour that snowballed because the game was absent from a "best of xbox in 2015" viral video.

Hey, I never said they were good rumours, just that there have been more than just this xbox employee imposter one.

They stay in the subconscious and soon mount up to an unshakeable theory.

I'm sure nobody on the PS platform wants it because it was on Xbox.

True it does have Xbox Cooties.

I don't even understand the assumption that QB might be delayed based off of some random guy on Twitter. Makes no sense.

If I go on Twitter and say Uncharted 4 is now delayed to 2017, do you think Sony will respond? Why would a company respond to some random trolly f*** comment on Twitter with zero basis in reality?

Well there was already a question. Isn't it strange they didn't include it in their 2015 games video? Or that they would let a rumor spread to the point where everyone assumes it is delayed? People shouldn't treat it like it is a fact it is delayed but you would have to stick your head in the sand to not think there is a really good chance it is.

Because they are Remedy and because of their 2015 games video. Which I don't really think is meaningful since it had just a few games but the question was there for sure.
So no question.

One million isn't unheard of for early exclusives, there isn't much competition and that was the best looking game the console. I haven't seen it officially reported on when it hit one million in sales either, not saying you are wrong I just haven't read it and couldn't find it during a quick search. Just to compare though all of Sony's early exclusive retail games sold over a million as well.

As far as Tomb Raider you may well be right, 6 months is just an example. For all we know it could be 3 months later or a year later but I have no doubt that it will come to PS4 at some point.

Higher install base, that's the point. I know one million isn't unheard of but you made it out before like it didn't sell well, considering the situation and the xbox's lower install base, that's not bad it all. Ps4's install base is well over 2x what it was then on xbox, why wouldn't they port it? They didn't have a problem bringing it to PC.

So what is the deal on DR3? Still haven't heard a response to that. I know plenty of ppl would like to see that as well on ps4.

I just don't understand why people are expecting a super quick port over to ps4 with TR, I guess its wishful thinking, but if just look at history with MS they aren't exactly cool with that. Look at ME1, what 3 years to port over? That's not out of the question here, if it all. It just seems like people think they have insider knowledge on this and they ignore history.

This is a list of all published games xbox going back over 10 years, I couldn't find any retail games that came to a PS platform in under a year, maybe I am missing something. I remember people saying ME would be out fast and it took what 3-4 years?

I haven't responded about DR3 because there has been NO mention of it coming to PS4 unlike Ryse and TR. You do realize that TR has been asked about several times and they never answer the question directly but have said they'd be open to bringing it to other platforms. If it was a console exclusive they'd say it not just say "Holiday 2015" exclusive, when you get that specific in an explanation there is a reason for it.

BTW the higher installed base doesn't matter, Ryse is now an old title that nobody talks about anymore so there really just isn't any reason to go through the expense IMO. It's not like Crytek has a ton of extra cash these days either so they have to be careful about how they allocate their resources and I don't think spending money porting a year and a half old game that wasn't all that well received makes much sense.

There has been no mention of TR coming to ps4 either, platforms could mean anything or everything. Holiday 2015 to xbox could mean PC next year, or maybe ps4 2-3 years later or not at all, there is no way to know at all. Or it could also mean the deal isn't sealed yet, and that everything is up for grabs, but in no way does that statement guarantee it coming to ps4.

Why doesn't the install base matter? I've never heard someone say that before. Ryse is an old title? Was ME1 old? Obviously the demand wasn't there was high either or else it would have sold well on ps3.

Comparing Ryse to Mass Effect? C'mon now lol. Ryse is an old game that doesn't have much of a following, you don't see PS4 owners making any noise about wanting it now. It may have made sense to do it early to mid last year but now? no it just wouldn't be a big deal regardless of how many consoles are out there.

idk, where exactly do you make "noise" to get your game on a platform? I saw a petition with over 20k signatures, seems like a fair amount. I know, comparing ME is a little much considering it took 3 years to get it ported over to PS not half that.

Mass Effect is a completely different game/series from Tomb Raider. Completely different situation.

Mass Effect was a new IP last gen. Tomb Raider isn't a new IP. It has been around for two decades. The Tomb Raider series also does better on Playstation because the series is tied to that brand (thanks to it being old); Because the series is tied to that brand, the Tomb Raider series is popular in European territories -- territories in which the Xbox brand doesn't do well.

It would take MS a ton of money to do what they did with Mass Effect for Tomb Raider. It's simply not a good comparison.

It also keeps people talking. It changes nothing if they are releasing it on time- actually makes an e3 announcement hit harder, really. They don't lose anything by not responding to him.

They can let the uncertainty fester, and if they need to actually delay then it's expected. If they announce it to release soon, then it's a bigger deal and capitalizes on the relief felt by fans.

From what I understand, this isn't MS buying up a game in the works- they were instrumental in getting it going up to and including funding and sharing tech. It seems to me that MS have a bit invested here.

On another note the words "has a duration" doesn't mean "it's coming to PS4" nor does "we are open to other platforms" mean that they are in the process of making it so right now. The deal logically has a "duration" if they don't own the IP. We don't know the deal, and the assumption as if it is a foregone conclusion is a bit preemptive if not annoying.

Jesus this Tomb Raider thing again. Square Enix like and need money, it is coming to PS4. As BGamer has said the franchise is big in Europe which is a PS4 stronghold and possibly amassed the highest PS4 sales per region. Square Enix are not stupid, they know if it doesn't come to the PS4 it could seriously damage the brand and them delaying it on the PS4 has pretty much allowed Tomb Raider fans to look at Uncharted 4 instead.

Now as for who studio's and who has more to announce, both probably have plenty but SCE have more studio's and have Japanese devs giving them exclusives like Persona 5, Dragon Quest: Heroes and Street Fight V that I'd say Sony has probably more to show. If MS is showing new games at E3 they're most likely coming from Rare, Blacktusk or Lionhead. With Sony it could be Guerilla, MM, Japan Studio, Bend or SSM as they have more devs.

ME was a highly regarded game that people were asking for the entire time, it was also ported because it was included in the Mass Effect trilogy collection that EA was putting out. Comparing Mass Effect being ported to Ryse is just silly, one was the missing piece in a successful series of games and the other is a pretty but forgettable launch game that nobody even talks about anymore.

No one is stating the ME situation is identical, neither is DR3, the point is only 1 retail game ever came to PS platform in history and it took 3-4 years to happen. I mean I just fail to see the optimism here. PC is clearly the platform they are talking about.

DR3 on PC
Ryse on PC
ME1 came to PC much earlier

TR at best will come to ps4 much later

Everything outside of that is pure speculation. Downplaying reason why each did or didn't come out is fine, but I don't see anything that proves it will be on a PS anytime soon.

Do you have a link to TR coming to ps4? Common sense said ME would be on ps3 soon thereafter too, I never say that. I've heard speculation of Ryse and DR3, any links to those coming to ps4?

TR sold what 7-9 million across 4 platforms? Halo 4 considered by many the least successful game in the main series, sold more on one console than TR did on 4. Don't act like TR is some monster franchise, it was a successful franchise 15+ years ago that was struggling and finally rebooted and had moderate success RECENTLY. I think your insider friends should educate you a bit more :)

I wish I could like my own post, there are certain situations I would want that ability.

I'm going to speculate a bit like others have.

Now that UC4 is a 2016 game, wouldn't Eidos want to take a deal from MS for exclusivity? That's guaranteed money, going against UC4 isn't, not to mention it didn't set the world on fire to begin with, well not to the extent some would have me believe.

Don't UC games sell well for a while after release? Sony gamers will have an adventure game in 2016, so my guess is 2017 for TR best case. Either way, the 6month time exclusivity just seems that much more ridiculous with the UC4 delay.

ME and the PS3 are completely different. Xbox 360 was the leading console, and it was a new I.P. Tomb Raider is an established franchise which is big in Europe, where the PS4 not XB1 is the dominant market leader. As for Ryse and DR3, why put them on PS4? No one is clamouring for them and they came out a year ago, the only window they could have done it was 6 months after release in that barren spell. Now though, it wouldn't make sense just like Titanfall wouldn't, which is why the sequel is going multiplat despite the first one not being on PS4.

They didn't know UC4 was going to be delayed at the time of the deal.

Where is the link the deal is done? You do understand that deals usually have parameters, i.e, you do this amount of volume, X happens etc. There's no confirmation they have worked everything out.

Just the core of the argument doesn't make sense, the ps4 has a huge advantage over xb1 back when both DR3 and Ryse were released. Both did well considering they were launch games, why wouldn't you put them on ps4? How do you know no one is clamoring for them not to be on ps4? How do you know these things specifically?

It's only clearly PC if you want it to clearly only be PC, assuming it's only PC is speculating just as much as PS4 even if you don't think so. I know you listed your examples but they don't matter, Crytek is on record saying they are open to bringing Ryse to the PS4 so even if they don't it shatters the idea that they couldn't, ME1 DID come to PS3 and DR3 was likely a true console exclusive it wasn't announced as a holiday exclusive title the way Tomb Raider was.

I'd also point out to those that are saying MS got Tomb Raider off of the ground, that seems mostly like spin coming from Crystal Dynamics than anything else. They announced the game at E3 last year and it wasn't announced as an MS exclusive then.

I, as well as most people I know, see it tied to the Sega and to PCs actually. Though it did good on the PS1 as well.

Dragon Quest has probably been mentioned before, but that's the first time I've noticed it. I've heard it's a good JRPG series. I remember a lot of hoopla surrounding DQ8, some years ago. That's good news, that a new one is coming to the PS4. I'll keep an eye out.

ME came to ps3 3-4 years later, if you are fine with that no problem. You said you would be playing TR in 6months after the xbox release idk where your going. I'll I know is the other games either haven't come to ps4 or they took forever to get to a PS platform, more than likely that's what we are looking at, especially with UC4 being 2016 now. Doesn't matter, no matter which side of the argument you are on, you will have to wait until the announcement, and most xbox gamers will have already finished it by then.

I didn't say I'd be playing it in 6 month, I said for all we know it could be 3 months to a year later.
