Typical evangelical "christian" who has a net worth exceeding $300,000,000 and claims he needs a private jet because that's the only way god can give him his words and gets a nice tax write-off for it.

The state of Maine in the U.S. implemented a Ranked Choice voting system recently. I don't think it made much of a difference this time only because people so badly want Trump gone.




Bad Sports Analogy:
The current system reminds me of how Battle Royals work. The strongest may as well join up to beat everyone else before they challenge eachother.

I'd like to think Ranked Choice or Range / Score based voting might be how Olympics are Scored and the voters are the judges. There is no Spoiler in a system like that.

My dad made a post on FB while on their vacation today that for the next 4 years he will not watch a single appearance of Biden and VP if something major changes just let him know. A bunch of his FB friends chimed in saying the same. This is ridiculous. Bad thing is I can’t say a word.

It's the next best thing to making it like the playoffs, except the votes have all been cast at once (would work better frontloaded with early votes, I think). Seriously, I've been saying they should do something like this for years now. It's a legit way to vote for 3rd parties too, without throwing away a vote. It may be a legit way to actually make 3rd parties actually make sense, IMO.... Just throwing this out there, but if someone like The Lincoln Project wanted to start a Reform Republican party, then this would be the way to do it. However, it would take most-to-all of the states doing this to actually be effective like this on a national level, I would think.

All this talk about voter fraud is really pathetic. This is a taste of what next year is going to be like. 40% of the population is going to deny reality. I hope Biden doesn't put up with it for long. Republicans will no doubt obstruct. The cult will be spinning conspiracies. The far right media will push division. After a while of trying Biden needs to say f*** it and go to the extremes. Use those Executive Orders. Demand federal agencies do not cooperate with Congress until appointments are made. Go for their throats.

Having the same (albeit not Trump related) problem with parts of my family, it's like they don't understand that speaking out on social media is basically the same as going out the front door and shout out your opinions.

I get about the same from my dad who accuses me of "never listening to Trump", in spite of me sending him countless dumb things that Trump said in the last 4 years.

Im really hoping its just part of the grift to get more money out of the trumpists before they have to leave, if trump concedes there goes donations for the fight.
 
I think there are enough out there that think if we say it long enough, people will think it's true. They did it when the media had something to say about Trump, Covid and now the election.

I'm nervous that it'll just become the norm and all more difficult to fight.

I think something needs to be done to those that sling enough false claims and should be held liable. Otherwise, people will continue to say that I'm just saying what I heard and that's good enough.
