How is that government shutdown treating ya?

Some of them are furloughed rangers that are working so they log hours, then when the closing is done, they can be back payed. Otherwise they have to be off without pay.
But is her insurance going up a result of ACA? My insurance has been steadily going up every single year, for at least the past 10 years, and it goes up more or less about the same amount every year. This year, we were shown the rates for 2o14, and it appears to be an increase about on par for how it's always been.
Some insurances are going up because of that.. we saw almost 110 dollar a month increase as soon as the bill was passed. Our ins went up each year on year, but not that much. We also got notified that now that the bill is "in effect" that our premiums will go up 135% next summer.
still better than some of the people. we had some friends on their insurance just get flat out told to get on the ACA plans because they are dropping them.
Shutdown is finally coming to an end. John Boehner got a standing ovation from the GOP. Don't understand why. Not only did he completely lose the battle (there is nothing in the deal that delays Obamacare), but he ("they" more specifically) did it against the clear warnings of GOP political strategists and many of their own voters in the first place, and has now resulted in the lowest poll approval of the Republican party in many years.

This right here is one of the biggest problems for congress....fuk we have 80-90 year old congressmen.
We need to stop being Democrats and Republicans and start being Americans.
Term limits are a fantastic ideal but would need congress to pass a bill 
and neither Dems or Republicans will do that.

it was fully active during the shutdown unfortunately... this just means the 17% of workers furloughed get to go back to work and the parks will be open
Millions being able to afford Healthcare is hardly unfortunate. Not the perfect plan but at the very least it brought healthcare to the forefront otherwise nothing would have been done.
True but the majority of Americans only vote during Presidential election years.
most of it wasn't expenditure, but rather a loss. money that would have been coming in, wasn't, so it has to be made up somehow
