Kinect Topic

Nice graphics, but I'm not sure if I'll be interested. I never played the first one, but if they have a little game like Fruit Ninja, I'll buy it for that.

I hope they have a demo at/close to launch. Really nothing much using Kinect in a primary fashion at launch so would be nice. My son loves Kinect Adventures/Sports so a more accurate version of that that can build an avatar that roughly looks like him will be gold...he'll eat that sh*t up!

I loved both Kinect Sports games, really looking forward to this one. Fun times playing these with the family, bummed this isn't coming at launch.

An Xbox One Kinect TV mount, featuring a cover to block the device's cameras, by gaming accessory and peripheral manufacturer PDP is available for pre-order from online retailers for $19.99.
Listed by Amazon to launch on Dec. 4, the mount's description says that it blocks both RGB and IR cameras. According to listing, the bracket is adaptable with almost any flatscreen TV to mount the Xbox One Kinect hardware onto, stating the mount's "privacy cover" protects users privacy by blocking both the Kinect's RGB and IR cameras.
Earlier this month, director of product planning Albert Penello assured NeoGAF forum users that the Kinect was not designed with ad functionality in mind. Penello wrote that nobody at Microsoft is working on a project where the Xbox One Kinect's features — such as the ability to see expressions and engagement — could be used to target advertising.
A few days after, Microsoft told All Things D that Xbox One's Kinect, which can understand two people talking at the same time, will not record marketing data from its users.
The Xbox One and Kinect will launch in North America on Nov. 22, 2013

People truly are idiotic.

hey you just never know. I will most likely be picking this up.My Xbox One is gonna be in my room so when me and my wifey are getting intimate I'll be sure to cover the Kinect just in case...just in case I said

Is the cover made of lead, though?
Don't forget about Kinect2.0's secret X-ray capabilities.
You can't hide behind a simple piece of plastic.

That is why I don't understand all the hate towards Kinect.. ... X-ray capabilities! It don't get any more next Gen than that.

Now THIS is some cool news. Especially after reading that Rivals is actually very enjoyable and one person even said it could be a sleeper hit!

Nice! I'm definitely going to give this a try.

This is awesome news, I will be buying this game (to show it off to the g/f) when it comes out even better than we can trial from day one!!!!!!! Great move MS ;)

All of you suckers getting this for free are going to regret it when the price drops to... uh, free-er?

Certainly this is a nice benefit for early adopters to have something else to do that's free and looks like fun.

Yep and you get to find out if it's really all that fun and maybe actually worth your gold when it comes out.

I will be all over this. I like that MS is going the free route with this and the Xbox Fitness. Giving people exposure is the smart thing to do. Get them hooked.

That's actually a pretty awesome thing. Good to have that motion control game for parties and kids. Kinect Sports is a fun little series overall and this definitely looks to up the ante. Here's hoping Rivals is awesome.

I'm far more excited about Xbox Fitness. Despite its limitations, I've been using Kinect almost every day for the past couple of months with Nike+ Kinect.

Kinect has the potential to be used for good just like it has potential to be used for bad.

What we are being told and what their true intentions are may be 2 different things...

That's my 2 ¢entavoz.

This is fantastic. I was really wanting to play some kinect stuff on launch day and this guarantees it. I'm excited to play this with my gf and family over the holidays. Now with fitness, killer instinct, and this rivals preseason, we have a lot of free games to play at/right after launch.
