Xbox hasn't had great naming conventions. I'm not saying Nintendo or Sony have either, for that matter. They do need to work to distinguish actual generations, and make new product launches more of an "event."
This is always hard when most launch titles are cross-platform games, but a large first party base and less confusion over "Xbox One X Series X Xbox XCloud WTF" style communication would be an improved way to begin a new generation.

I don't care if they call it Xbox Poo or PS Pee. As long as the games are awesome.
Call it Xbox Series Elite. No need to add more letters as it only confuses the average Joe.

I don't see the purpose if they are trying to get cloud gaming on many devices. Why roll out a device solely dedicated to XBox?
If it includes Edge then could gaming, like xcloud, Luna, GeForce now….maybe even steam and epic store, it could benefit the three since the others would be more than likely to stay walled ecosystems
All Xbox games run on PC already and by extension , the Steam deck, Asus rog etc.

XBox hardware, out of the 3 makers, is the lowest. PS hasn't had a good track record with handhelds. Then you have to compete with Switch, Steam Deck and Rog Ally.
Then you have the whole cloud system as I mentioned above.
