Grand Theft Auto V is just a machine — in the UK, at least. In the latest physical games chart, us Brits have put Rockstar's juggernaut open world title in third place, selling best on PlayStation 4. It's mad that it can still swing podium positions.

Elsewhere, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the week's best-selling PS5 game, bouncing all the way back into fourth. Then there's a superhero double bill, with Marvel's Avengers and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales in sixth and seventh respectively. Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut was in ninth last week but has slipped out of the top 10 into 13th. Similarly, Aliens: Fireteam Elite is now in 12th after an impressive number one debut.

Here's the latest top 10 in full.

You would have thought anyone that want GTA already got the game.

Great little hidden gem. My first visual novel experience but definitely won't be my last.

Total shipments and digital sales for 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim have surpassed 200,000 units in Japan, publisher Atlus and developer Vanillaware announced.

Back in March, the companies announced that the game had surpassed 400,000 sales worldwide.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim launched for PlayStation 4 in November 2019 in Japan and in September 2020 worldwide.

They got paid for Outriders so if its not broken even that's due to other things. Doesn't look like it sold great on PS so what's to blame for that?
Flight Sim had a very limited physical release and up until it launched only amazon had it for pre order. Live struggled at launch due to so many trying to play it which usually only happens at Christmas.

And of course the sales gap will be smaller if its not on GP...
Wait, there was a physical sale on Xbox, I thought it was only released on pc?

Tales of Arise 86% PS, 13% Xbox, 1% PC

NBA 2K22 73% PS, 23% Xbox, 2% Nintendo

Life is Strange True Colours 82% PS, 18% Xbox.

Wario Ware: Get It Together was the best-selling boxed game at UK retail last week, according to the latest GfK data.

The Nintendo Switch exclusive did not need to sell a lot to get to the top, and in fact it's one of the softer Switch game launches this year. Its boxed launch sales are below that of Miitopia, which debuted at No.2 back in May.

It narrowly held off Bandai Namco's RPG Tales of Arise, which made No.2. The game has performed well for Bandai Namco, with sales more than double that of its previous RPG release, Scarlet Nexus, which reached No.8 back in June. Of course, Scarlet Nexus is a new IP, while Tales of Arise is part of Bandai Namco's long-standing Tales of series.

For Tales of Arise, 58% of sales were on PS5, 28% on PS4, 13% on Xbox Series X and S and 1% on PC.

The game may well be No.1 when the digital data comes in on Thursday, as Nintendo does not share digital figures, so Wario Ware is very likely to fall down the charts once those numbers come in.

The only game that may prevent Tales of Arise reaching No.1 is NBA 2K22, which debuts at No.3 in the boxed charts. It's a slow start for NBA, with sales down by almost half compared with the launch of last year's version. But again, digital data may change all of that.

46% of NBA 2K22's sales were on PS5, 27% on PS4, 13% on Xbox One, 10% on Xbox Series X/S and 2% on Nintendo Switch.

There is another new release down at No.6 in the form of Life is Strange: True Colors. The Square Enix title sold best on PlayStation (54% of sales on PS5, 28% on PS4, and 18% for Xbox Series X/S).

Down at No.17 we have Bus Simulator 21 breaking into the charts. 65% of the game's boxed sales were on PS4, and 35% on Xbox One. Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions from Koch Media is at No.29 (58% of sales on PS4, 42% on Xbox One). And finally, at No.40, is the boxed version of Game Builder Garage from Nintendo. The Switch game was released digitally first back in June.

Switch #1 in HW sales. PS5 #1 in dollar sales.

PS5 is a beast in both HW and SW.

Damn, with a Switch OLED and if as Switch Pro comes out, they could hit 200 million sold this gen.

Not a surprise nobody bought Psychonauts 2. Game had zero marketing and its not like a lot of people played the first one.

The first one didn't sell all that well either which is why I believe they needed some help funding for the second one.

As long as they are getting paid adequately by MS, it shouldn't matter all that much.

MS don't give out digital numbers. Neither do Nintendo or several other publishers.

And people wonder why we get rehashed crap year after year, because it sells. It's a shame I thought it might chart with the playstation release.

Hope MS doesn't care and gives them all the funding they want, we need fresh games like psychonauts.

Thank god for Game Pass.

No proper PS5 release, no boxed copies, and GP all probably had an effect on its sales.

Thank god for Game Pass.

Yea GP is great and all I've always worried about the sustainability of it, especially with AAA game development costs so expensive. We will likely see an increase in price sometime soon. I think for the near future we should be sweet as they seem to be committing and going all in.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more 1st party games with MTX as I reckon that's how they will make a big chunk of their money.
