Sony didn't send as many systems to NA. Why not use WW numbers? It obviously only appears that close in NA because Sony wanted to launch in more parts of the world.
If you don't want to use US numbers because you feel Sony didn't send as many systems to NA, you sure as hell can't use WW numbers because Microsoft didn't launch in as many countries nor send as many consoles overseas.....
Added sales from the past three months according to the past NPDs.

But Xbox One didn't launch in nearly as many territories outside of North America as the PS4 did.

What I said was based on actual NPD stats and those stats show that both consoles are ~2 million in overall sales in America with the PS4 being a bit above that.
Your replies come across as console war defenses.
Shoulda, coulda, woulda..... but I'm not sure what you're even arguing about? Nobody is denying the PS4 is in more demand, numbers prove that. Bgamer90 was just pointing out that the race in NA is closer than what the news yesterday would perceive. You have people claiming it's over and PS4 won but if Bgamer's numbers are correct, which they are, the PS4 is just 300,000 ahead out of more than 4,000,000 consoles sold. It's insignificant. Come June we'll see who is where. Demand for the PS4 will subside like it did for the Xbox One.
I just fled from N4G and Neogaf for this. Seriously it is just poisonous there. Sony Fanboys always where known for hating other brands more than they love their own... but this is just crazy.
Everything pro Nintendo or MS gets marked as "Trolling" and everything trolling MS or Nintendo is getting likes. f*** it, I'm through with that clickbait stuff of those self entitled a**holes. It isn't just Sony fanboys, it seems everyone in the world wants to pile on MS and see them fail.
The MS hate is out of control. It goes way beyond the usual console wars. I've actually had people who aren't even gamers who question me getting X1 over PS. I mean come on...
It seems there are 2-3 negative posts in the Xbox section every day. People scour the internet for anything negative about MS (even if it is just silly speculation). Then, when something positive is posted, it has to be "debunked" by people, because anything positive about the X1 must be untrue.
You peek in the PS forum and people just talk games without all the baggage.
I try to ignore it but it is getting tough when every other post is someone telling you your console is garbage.
I'm glad I am waiting on the sidelines this generation. Mostly because I'm on the verge of buying a new house. Still, neither console is appealing enough to spend $400 or $500 on just yet. I'll jump in when the must-have software starts releasing.

Well that can't be GAF, they love W101 over there. Whenever I get a Wii U, it's on the list. Game looks great.
And what I'm saying is Ps4 is obviously more popular and if sony had decided to ship more consoles to NA then Microsoft wouldn't be nearly as close. I thought it was common sense at this point. Evident by the fact that PS4 is out selling the xb1 and is still not as easy to find as the xb1. I am not trying to argue the NPD stats lol. I'm just stating that it wouldn't be as close if sony decided to focus on NA. Either way they are spanking xb1 in sales overall which is all the same to them at the end of the day.

And considering that the Playstation brand is more popular in territories outside of NA + the PS4 came out in more territories as it launched at the same time as the Xbox One, it would have been pretty amazing if the PS4 didn't beat the Xbox One in worldwide sales.

When I play KI I dont have to mute anyone a. I'll take a console that sold less, that I enjoy, has games, features, and yes the Kinect. Over dealing with those little twerps everyday.

Nothing like this. Plus, remember 360 fans had to put up with a whole year of PS fans telling us how the PS3 was going to be way more powerful. Of course when it came out and wasn't there was a little payback. Of course there are always going to be people here arguing numbers in the console wars, but I've never seen anything like this.
Threads like this are always going to happen, but the Xbox forums are almost getting unreadable. You get a conversation going about a game and suddenly it descends into a discussion about Kinect. The mods constantly have to remind people not to bring up the PS there.
Just let it go. Enjoy what you have. The X1 isn't going anywhere. If anything this will get MS going over the Top with the X2. Don't let it bother you. We have good games we have tons of kick a§§ features. We have the Kinect.

Microsoft's decisions play a big role in the online criticism. A lot of these guys owned the previous Xbox's but simply don't like KINECT or an overpriced and underpowered system.
I don't know if Microsoft can attract the casual market they desire. But I think they may have lost a chunk of their hard core fans.

MS can say a lot but I actually think that they are just going after core gamers, and dismissing casual. They are steadfast that the Kinect is the future.
As I said earlier this reminds a lot of OX situation.
X2= rift + Kinect= 1st real step towards Virtual Reality games.
Xbox one isn't done yet that's for sure. Just not sure whether this is a sign of future sales trend for the months to come. If so, then MS should think about what they need to do.

That's because most gamers haven't tried X1 or Kinect 2.0. Oddly enough, people who have actually have very little criticism about it. The "make a kinect-less model" stuff comes mostly from people who have never touched the new console.
I'm an Xbox fanboy, but I will concede that Kinect 1.0 was mostly useless. I admit that I didn't even hook mine back up after I had moved my console to another room. There was no point in even plugging the thing in.
The new Kinect is different though. I haven't even played a Kinect game on X1, yet I use Kinect every time I game. Voice commands alone make it worth it for me. I walk in the room and with voice commands I have my console on and my game starting to load before I even sit in my gaming chair.
MS can't be #1 (whatever that's worth) globally without dominating in North America, just being close behind or even slightly ahead is going to mean they are destined to be number two globally. That's not to say they can't be successful as well just saying they won't be able to lead sales globally. Like I've said before both consoles last gen ended up about even in global sales but the 360 had to have a 14-15 million sales lead in NA to make that happen, along with a year head start and always having a price advantage. People will bring up Japan but that was only about 7-8 million, the rest was made up in Europe and other parts of the world, places I don't think MS will be able to overtake Sony this gen either, especially with the higher price point along with other issues.

I've read plenty of criticism of Kinect 2.0, from people who've tried it, it's still not accurate enough on picking up motions or sounds. One guy was eating and the sound of him crunching took the thing to the settings menu lol.
