I am a Sony fan(for the record though I bought a lumia 920 over the xperia) but I don't go out of my way to attack Xbox. Do you see me post in the XB1 section or even in the old TXB sections??? No I was always in the OCD threads. You on the other hand have a field day when your in the PS section of UnionVGF... this time you can't use the excuse that this is an Xbox forum like the TXB days and tell us to leave and look for a PS Centric site. Sure glad astro isn't here anymore made things a little bit more peaceful

And I never said Xbox was never gonna sell as bad as other sony droids made it sound like. Would it sell as much as ps4??? No, would it sell as Bad wii U? No. It will sell alot, its all dependent on how well MS can play their cards.

Edit: Also your The Order 1886 Avatar is trying to hard

I laugh when I see his avatar. Especially considering The order looks better than any game out on xb1 right now. Including Ryse and nothing we've seen so far from xb1 even looks better than Ryse save for QB and who knows what downgrades that game will receive before it's released.

No, Xbox One is not selling like hot cakes anymore. 141K the third month following launch is historically very low for any console (in fact a record low for Microsoft).

It actually isn't a record low. It's less than the 360 but more than the original Xbox.

On the flip side though, the Xbox One had a much better first two months of sales than the Xbox 360 had.

Of course it's silly to call it over this soon.

Just as it's silly to think a game that's coming out on two other platforms with much, much higher userbases is somehow going to magically sell a ton of consoles.

You do realize that EA multiplatform launch games helped sell a ton of PS4 (and Xbox One) consoles right?

Those games are on like... 5 consoles. Yet a game that's on a fewer number of platforms and has more hype can't be a system seller?

Heh, OK.

Personally, I'd say you're hitting the glass pipe too often. Look good, yes. Better than? eh....

We can talk about the order when the game is release. I personally think the order do not look better than Ryse. The skin is still a bit plasticy for instance, & not to mention, we have't even see the game in moment.

PS4 is more powerful, but it doesn't mean the games will by default looks better. Talent of developers & the engine they use do play a part. It will be a while before a game can top Ryse. Visual is not just about Horsepower, but also how you make use of it.

Not surprised you'd say that!

No, what's not a surprise is your little post to him.

RAD will no doubt make the game look good, but exactly how is this a good comparison? A game that was released in 2013 to a game released in late 2014. At launch I'm sure it will look better than Ryse and hopefully better than itself in certain areas. As not every screenie is exactly flattering. In its current state? Yeah... stay away from the drugs.

XBOX one have vastly more supply at launch. This explain why it sold better than 360 in first 2 months, a honeymoon period for xbox one, where it sold out pretty much every console it shipped, in NA at least. Just explaining why it sold better.

Yeah, more than likely played a big role.

Well that can't be GAF, they love W101 over there. Whenever I get a Wii U, it's on the list. Game looks great.
Some jerk on N4G I think, but there also is this notion on GAF amongst some, that Platinum is overrated and because W101 was not as big as a Commercial success as say... COD.

These people are complete morons really. Not because of what videosystem they like, but the vigor of their fanboyism, their mannerisms of discussion (Like: DAT BALANCE! or posting GIFS being funny, while actual well thought of jokes are being shunned) and the amount of hive mind they can form about non issues. This is even to a point where I can start to understand why certain developers just don't want to be on that board.

Some of them have this notion that they are GODS GIFT TO GAMING! and what they say should always happen. Even going as far as to insult people like Albert Panello for not responding in a timely manner to a question asked amongst tens of pages in a thread that moves 10 threads a minute.

If you have a different opinion about gaming, not like MOBA games or feel that WOW (And I still play World of Warcraft) has become like a slot machine ( Maximizing addiction over Minimizing RPG elements, balancing payout and playtime to an extreme as 15 minutes per dungeon) or even that you have some second thoughts about Steam and find the God like worship of Mike Cerny or Gabe Newell a bit .... much (They are nice people, and Mark Cerny certainly earned his merits... I just sometimes feel people go to far in their idolatry of the two.).... You're in for a harsh time.

Heh, OK.

So the console has been out roughly 3 months and there are plenty sitting on store shelves yet people are just waiting another month to buy one for titanfall?

Will Titanfall help sell XB1? Sure, there's no doubt. Will it help them sell in droves? Not bloody likely. Not when there are two other platforms to get the game on, one of which costs half what the XB1 costs and the other which absolutely DESTROYS the XB1 in visuals, performance and controls.

And EA multiplats helped sell new-gen consoles? Where's the evidence of that? Isn't it more likely the the consoles helped sell those games because that's what was available? I seem to remember reading a report that basically said EA and other publishers were disappointed with the low adoption rates from old-gen to new-gen in terms of their yearly titles.

Still, carry on. I wouldn't want to be the one to bring desperate XB fans back to reality. We'll wait until next month and see what happens. Personally, I see it going like this:

Titanfall sales:

X360 >> PC > XB1

Well, seeing as this gen just began Im still inclined to think some of you are calling it over too quickly. If its only 300K in the US that the PS4 is leading, then I can see that lead shrinking tremendously after the release of Titanfall. Sonyboys can have their fun while it lasts.;)

Still pretty impressive with a console thats a whole $100 more though.

I hate to be captain obvious, but the only way for the lead to shrink is for the Xbox One to start more than doubling its monthly sales and outsell the PS4 month to month. You believe this will happen?

Every gamer knows PS4 would sell more (at least early on). A combination of $100 cheaper, constant negative MS sentiment, 3-4x more countries for PS4, an extra week early in the US (the biggest market). Even just one of these advantages is enough to carry the torch for a system, never mind 4.

It all came down to how much more PS4 would outsell X1. And with the endless 3:1 and 4:1 polls and surveys, the reality is it's not even close to that. And those polls didn't even take into account number of countries launching (which is now PS4 at about 50 and X1 at 13). It was just overall gamer sentiment and opinions.

So with all the disadvantages X1 has had all year, the fact they have sold so well and having a higher software attach ratio (despite being $100 more and semi-promoted as a media snapping hub.... tv, tv, tv!), it goes to show X1 has done much better than gamers thought.

If there's one thing that has disappeared from every game forum since December is all those old viewpoints of PS4 is going to destroy X1 by 3 or 4 to 1 ratios.

I see, so we shouldn't be comparing the PS4 to the Xbox One, we should compare how it is doing relative to a non-scientific Gamestop survey that you admit was flawed from last summer.

To completely dismiss that of happening is a bit silly.

Gen is only 3 months in people and both have some pretty big exclusives coming which will shift a lot of units.

I am not completely dismissing it, but after last months sales its probably more likely a monkey will fly out of my ass.

To be fair, there is a small chance MS can catch up, or even outsold PS4 next month in NA, with Titanfall dropping, as PS4 is constrained by supply. Even with a mega hit Sony can't sold more PS4 then what they already do now.

So the console has been out roughly 3 months and there are plenty sitting on store shelves yet people are just waiting another month to buy one for titanfall?

Yeah. There are people waiting for a game they would want to play on their new console instead of buying their console when they only have games they are uninterested in. Crazy I know.

Similar to the people waiting to get a PS4 once games like The Order come out.

And EA multiplats helped sell new-gen consoles? Where's the evidence of that?

People buying the games for the console?

Would people buy a console that didn't have any games for it?

I've not had any issues finding either console in stock in stores or online since Launch.

I'm sure TF is a blast and might move some units, but it's not going to be a major move, not when it's also coming out on 360, and visually, it's not really a next gen game. It's also a new IP, which no matter how much hype people give it, tend to not move consoles much.

Just you wait until tax returns! Just you wait until Titanfall! Just you wait until Halo 5!!

I think people are just getting lucky to see the stacks of PS4, unless you live in a low demand area. In Toronto, Ontario, it is HARD to find a PS4. People are calling in everyday, going in-store everyday and going home empty-handed. Another site I go to, there is this thread that is dedicated for people who are looking for PS4's. Like if someone sees a store that has it in stock, they will instantly post it in the thread for other people to go and try their luck in getting a PS4.

I have seen my 1st PS4 in stock yesterday at Best Buy, they had 1 in a cage on the way out of the store.

People keep falling back on Titanfall as some system seller and I think that won't happen this year. TF is out on PC and 360 so there is little reason for most to get an Xbox One, especially if the PS4 continues to look like the market leader. I am sure it will boost some sales but not to the extent people are thinking because it isn't really an Xbox One exclusive. I am sure EA was unwilling to make it an Xbox One exclusive and why it ended up only as Microsoft platform exclusive. The more Xbox One sales and PR slip the more this deal is looking as wise as the 2K "exclusive" MLB deal.

Sony, also has Infamous coming at same time so they will continue to play up graphics to the press while Xbox One is home only to decided last gen looking, cross platform games yet again.
