Also learned that you can be poisoned. During the Explore mission, I went into a building, killed a few baddies, the ammo they dropped landed in between the room that I was in, and another room. When I tried to pick up the ammo it said that I was poisoned, and wouldn't let me enter the other room..

Some of you might not know but there is missions in earth you can do to get fame from vanguard. I have ran into 4 different events on those trips.

Which mission(s) did you find these events? I was under the impression that you gained fame from doing the beacon quests in the Explore mission.

Got to see the Moon arena in the Crucible, looks great. Plays quiet a bit different than the other map. Ive learned that the Scout Rifle is pretty much useless in the Crucible. :smash:

They need to do something about the spawns in PvP. Just had a guy spawn camp my team using the heavy weapon vehicle on the Moon arena. Its been years since Ive been spawn killed like that.

Well those are the ones I did. The beacons missions. But those public events had happen to me 4 times and one of them was very hard.

Cool of Bungie to let us try out the Moon, it looks great. The mission was really short though. I spent about an hour just wondering around exploring.

I think Im going to hit the Earth Explore mission, and try to find me a good auto rifle for the Crucible.

Made Cryptoarch lvl 1. Now I can just purchase some serviceable gear, instead of having to rely on loot drops. Got myself a better auto rifle, maybe now I can put up a little fight in the Crucible.

I don't know if there is a problem with Upload, but my Destiny vids wont play. Im going to give it some time to see if it gets straightened out. If I lose all my Destiny vids Im going to be pissed.

I tried out some multiplayer, I really suck at it and am always at the bottom. Seems like I'm getting killed before I even see who is shooting at me! Still was fun to get to see some of the Moon and Venus!! In the Russia map I was doing some exploring and followed a path that went under a cave tunnel and there were some of the leveled up guys with the question marks for their level and you can't dent their health no matter how you try. Well, I was curious to see what was there so I bolted past them and started doing that super jump thing to climb up the ledge behind them. Came across some big huge, purple weapon thing and ran by that and then into a cave. Didn't get too far into that because it was filled with a ton of the untouchable enemies and I got killed quick. Was fun and interesting to see there will be more to the Russian map than what we got to play and I can't wait to see what that big purple thing is all about!!
I came across this a few times as well. Once down in the lower basement of a building and another time in one of the caves (spawn cave?). At any rate, I think these might be protected spawn areas or even areas you aren't supposed to be in until a later mission. Thus the enemies are invulnerable (the ?? means they don't have a level rating and as such probably don't have damage stats assigned to them). I missed the Moon as I was on a weekend trip which is a bummer. All in all I'm looking forward to the game and doing all the co-op/strike type missions and seeing how that evolves. I thought the Crucible was pretty average though and probably won't play it very much....would much rather play Titanfall, Halo MCC, or even COD personally.

Well they have to because Activision have another game coming out and its Diablo 3. If they did have to publish it on Aug they could let the beta go for a little bit longer.

A couple of these areas I had come across I tried running past and was rewarded by finding a loot chest before they could kill me and then would make my escape! I also missed the Moon, we are on vacation and left Saturday morning before they offered it. More to look forward to for the full game!

My only real worry about Destiny is the gameplay in the Crucible. Judging from the beta, its an unbalanced mess. Supers are over powered, vehicles are overpowered. All most all the weapon types were worthless in the Crucible, because you either die/kill the instant you make contact with an enemy player. Then you have movement issues like the sluggishness of movement while running, and how its virtually impossible to track and shoot someone while jumping, and you cant reload while running.

Well that is why its called supers because it suppose to be over powered?
Same with vehicles?

What is the matter with you guys, you want nothing to be better just everything the same and weak.

lol not at all. There is nothing about being able to kill an entire team taking an objective by simply pressing two buttons at the same time that equals good gameplay. Ive got an idea, lets all press the "win button" and talk about how much skill it took, thats true rewarding gameplay.

It does reward skill and teamwork. Your super bar fills faster for headshot kills, capturing objectives,etc... Not to mention the orbs of light that generate she you get a kill with a super. If your teammates are close by helping you, they can grab the orbs and fill there bar much faster, rewarding those who stick with their team. The team with the most skill will be rewarded with more supers than the other team.

Just my opinion

Now who was the guy saying that this is how Halo should be?

Don't get me wrong, Destiny is not a bad game but Halo should never be like this.

And result in one-sided, unbalanced gameplay. Not fun. Making it balanced provides the best avenue for close, engaging matches. I can't stand one-sided games. I don't mind losing as long as it's a close fight.

I get what you mean. It's kinda like in COD when people start running off high kill steaks. Suddenly a game that was close starts to get out of control. Or in titanfall when the other team gets 4 titans out before your team gets even one out. The problem is that those are part of the core experience. Dropping a nova bomb on a team trying to capture your point is a blast. So how do you correct it with out taking out the fun? You have to go a more hard core route like a rainbow six or something like that to avoid it.

To me it's part of the game and part of what made it fun. It's like getting a tank in Halo or a helicopter in battlefield. Just a fun way to kill people online. At least here supers are available to everyone and they can only be used once before you have to refill you bar.

Personally I hope they stay the same.

The difference in the Heli in Battlefield is 1. they take a lot of skill to master, and 2. there are counters for them. Maybe if there was a counter system against supers- that would be interesting. Otherwise it's wait to respawn. The problem with the second approach is that it takes a moment to gain your bearings after spawning- which is why spawn killing so so frowned upon, and you are back at a disadvantage until you can power up again.

The problem with COD perks is they are auto kills, and often a pain to counter-act other than hide in a corner til it's over at which point you are boxed in. Then they build on themselves. Having multiple games end prematurely because someone sets off a nuke is dumb. MP is fun when it's competitive.

I totally get where you're coming from and if they had a way to counter supers that we great. Like maybe you could use your bar to do kind of a Halo Reach lock down kind of thing. But to greatly reduce supers or to take them out completely would really suck, because they are part of the fun. The gameplay isn't anything great without the supers, so it would be a pretty boring game if they were taken out or have their frequency reduced.

P.S. I share your opinion on kill streaks in COD.

Are raids different than strikes?
All I know I know a Raid can take a few hours to complete and the bosses are supposed to be really difficult.
This is the reason they said it can only be played with friends, communication is vital.
In the article I linked Bungie says they don't tell you what to do or where to go on a Raid which is a bit odd but we'll see how that plays out.
