I wish one of these companies would give me a reason to want one of their devices this year.
I think its all sexual tension at this point.
That's a pretty bad deal for ps5
If those prices becomes reality, it'll look bad.$400 for a PS5 digital is a great price,, that pretty much takes away any pricing advantage MS can claim with the Series X if they sell at a loss at $400, no way they go lower than that especially if the Series S is a thing, there needs to be a $200 difference between them for the weaker console to make sense. Yes I know the Series X will have the disc drive and the digital PS5 won't but in the last quarter over 70% of PS4 games sold were digital so I doubt the absence of a disc drive is going to bother many people and if it does they always have the option to buy the more expensive model. It's not like the PS5 and Series X are much different in cost to manufacture it's just the money is going to different places and MS can absorb a bigger loss.

Lol, it is a 6tf beast and the most powerful console made, why shouldn't he hype it?They had the same beast of a console with the Xbox One X. Phil Spencer even hyped it. It was supposed to be this superior 6TF of a machine that would support VR and all the best games and everything. Then he killed it off after it failed to achieve what he wanted it to. Now this is Phil Spencer doing this. It's the exact same fate of the original Xbox when it was killed off after a few years because it didn't meet expectations. When they started losing, the first thing they started talking about was online......as they are doing right now because it is the only advantage that they could safely say that they got right, that is until Sony came after them, and I'm almost sure they'll do it again.
Now it's the Series X's turn, same talk, same team, new generation.
I think Microsoft's biggest problem is they don't know when to not say anything. They talk too much about what they plan to do and not enough on delivering that, and this is where the hype falls through the ceiling in the eyes of the consumer and so the media has a field day with it.
Both were terrible.BC is broken? Them having a controller that you can blow on is some offensive thing? Trying to make the connection of Sony showing a camera and remote for 3 seconds to Microsoft having the Kinect and TV TV TV? Cartoony games with poor fidelity? Spiderman is just DLC? Guy is a clown.
Sony and Microsoft probably had the best shows they ever had
Are they trying? The only game they really showed off was a disappointing Halo. So they failed to show off XSX and they didn't address the New IP issue, which has been their biggest issue for a decade now. The show was primarily filled with 3rd party timed exclusives and noyt even big ones.. What I see is Microsoft is trying and they're trying to be consumer friendly but damn this has been a bad few weeks for them so far. Even when they are trying they are getting ripped to shreds. Hell, I don't even know why they try.

All they really tried to do was sell gamepass, that is it.
Both were terrible.
You can't deny there is a double standard, though. From forumites to game Journos to youtubers, all talking s*** but soon change track when the other console gets in a similar position.
They earn it.I do think Sony gets the benefit of the doubt
@Mods are you guys gonna handle Val or is he always going to be allowed to cruise around this forum doing whatever he wants to troll people?
Of course, trolling and personal insults isn't constructive. This thread is for lively discussion. I've also warned multiple posters about personal insults etc. If there is a particular person who regularly is posting content you don't like you have the option to ignore them. Anything that deviates from this into personal insults or flaming will be dealt with accordingly.
We already have games announced at 4K/60 but whatever lol. This guy seems to only know things about Capcom games, RE wasn't running very well at the Sony show but it's also only like 60% done and unlike MS Sony made them show the game running on development hardware not PC and it was running at 4K not 1080p, it's still at least 9-10 months from release assuming his claim of a spring release is the legit target, Capcom just says 2021. Hell that video was recorded which seems to be the timeframe he's basing his "info" on it was 11 months from release or more.
In later tweets he clarified that he thinks it'll be fine by launch but probably running at a lower res than the XSX. They haven't said a thing about it targeting 60fps as far as I'm aware but he's saying that's what it'll be when it's done. It sounds like it's more of an engine issue than anything else, we already have 4K/60 games announced and even games with 120fps modes. I don't believe they are targeting 60fps at 4K either unless it's a specific mode.
Also for those that care what this guy says
unlike MS Sony made them show the game running on development hardware not PC
Dev kits are, of course, much higher spec than the console itself (e.g. generally double the RAM), which makes this distinction truly pointless.
Dev kits being used to show games in June also aren't final, the more completed kits generally hit devs around late July or August going by previous gen schedules, things get optimized within the kits etc and of course game engines have to be retooled to work within the parameters of the new hardware etc so talking about a game that was moved from current gen to next gen and won't be out for what it turns out could be over a year (Spring was his guess, Capcom just says "tentatively 2021) seems a bit silly.
Well, yeah, and given at this point given that there are still no commercially available AMD video cards with ray tracing at any price on the market, trying to show what a game will actually look like on the system would require installing it in the system. My point was just that the specific comment about it being in dev kit vs PC is pretty much meaningless, not in any way a comment about anything else.
