47.42 million at the end of 2019.60-70 million sold so far, with more sales incoming. Also had record quarter last quarter.
500k sold in July.
Aaron already confirmed they make a profit with Game Pass (more than can be said for Netflix)
Media loves all the games that Xbox has been showing, just sad that there is a lack of game play shown. Better games shown than anything shown by Sony.
Agreed. I think Sony will be going bankrupt sooner than later.

Xbox gaming consoles unit sales worldwide 2022 | Statista
In 2022, the unit sales of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Series S video game consoles amounted to nearly 8.6 million units, increasing considerably from just above eight million units sold in the previous year.www.statista.com
I thought I read 17k for July NPD?
MS said it should make profit in the future for Gamepass.
Netflix is on another level than gp.
I can post some lower numbers from other sources if you like.Statistica?
He said short term it is not "big profit" - “Ultimately, we think long term that’s the right thing for the business, and will have long-term benefits for us. But, in the short term, yeah, it’s not a big profit play.”
True. Game Pass makes a profit, Netflix doesn't. But Netflix is successful because of their assets (movies/TV shows). They show a loss because they keep investing in more and more content (assets). Shareholders won't make a dime, but if they sold their company, the assets would make them rich as f***.
You can post all the numbers from all the "sources" you want. We will be here until you post numbers from Microsoft. Thanks! Until then, it's about 80 million sold through.I can post some lower numbers from other sources if you like.
Like I said no money for gp now and they are hopeful for it's future. lol
I'm impressed you even try to argue with him lolYou can post all the numbers from all the "sources" you want. We will be here until you post numbers from Microsoft. Thanks! Until then, it's about 80 million sold through.
It's small profit now, big profit long term. GP > Netflix
My goal is to make him my bitch. Until then, I continue to be his bitch.I'm impressed you even try to argue with him lol
We know MS has been to scared to share sales this gen.You can post all the numbers from all the "sources" you want. We will be here until you post numbers from Microsoft. Thanks! Until then, it's about 80 million sold through.

Sadly, those are not accurate. Hopefully MS reveals their numbers soon. It looks like they are at about 90 million sold now.We know MS has been to scared to share sales this gen.
Thankfully the numbers are out there and posted above.
Leave him out of this.My goal is to make him my b****. Until then, I continue to be his b****.
Are you a homophob VaLLiancE ?Leave him out of this.
He's not my type!
Nothing. Just people poking a bear. What are we talking about? What did Spencer do wrong?
Seems more like by postponing his announcement, he's forcing Sony to delay theirs. With less time between the announce and release date, that is basically a multiplier on the pressure for both sides to come in lower on price or whatever else they use to sell the console since there's little time to change perceptions once it drops. Of course, only you would say that MS not revealing the S leaves them without cards while the PS5 having to already announce an All Digital edition gives them greater flexibility, as if dropping a commodity IO component gives greater price flexibility than a console designed specifically for a lower price point, but you also always credit Sony for waiting and say that MS waiting if then being forced into it. It's *almost* as if you are unable to violate your prime directive, no matter how many divide by zero errors you have to ignore.
Sony will be announcing first. It’s why Phil is being agile and moving the dates to later than Sony.It doesn't seem like Sony will be launching on November 6 but maybe some time after this. I'm not sure how Microsoft delaying their stream puts pressure on Sony's pricing if Sony plans to announce their stream after Microsoft , especially when Microsoft is closer to that date than Sony.
And you are absolutely correct about Sony unveiling a digital system before Microsoft. But because their digital system isn't very different from their premium version, there is nothing extra that needs to be known about it that we don't already know of the premium other than the fact that it'll be cheaper. We haven't even seen the UI yet, the teardown, their plans for cloud/online, other exclusive deals or 1st party projects, etc.. We don't even have a launch month, let alone a price. Microsoft has covered most of these things already.
As far as the Series S is concerned, it most certainly is designed to be cheaper, but we already knew this. The question is how beneficial will this be to the premium system with two other units to compete with - especially if the Series X ends up being more expensive than those units.
If there are easy difficulty options, I might actually get that on release. Godfall and Miles should keep me busy with the PS5 for a bit.
Crackdown 3 is a critical failure and thankfully did terrible numbers.

Of course this is all speculation, we don't know the actual manufacturing costs or what each company is willing to lose. I know people will point to how much more money MS has than Sony but they aren't just going to throw money away either.
If both consoles do end up being $599 it's going to be a slow start to the generation, the hardcore will pay it this holiday but they'll have a much harder time growing over the next year, I think people are willing to go to $500 but that's about it.
$600 will be a hard sell for XSX.I know personally at $600 my enthusiasm goes way, way down. I'll probably get one, but I'll definitely be thinking hard on why I really need one.

Not only that. Phil doesn't care about selling consoles anymore but rather GamePass (I will hold judgment on projections), but what if the PS5 outsells the Xbox by 2, 3 or 4 to 1 as it is being assumed, what will the fate of the Series X be? Are they going to discontinue that console, too, like they did the One X?

Who's assuming that? Analysts? It will likely sell at least 2-1 but I doubt 4 to 1, we shall see in a couple years time what happens, I really hope not as both companies have their strengths and weaknesses which is a win for those not consumed in the console warz. Plus a couple years will give their first party studios some momentum and hopefully bring some great games. (Lots of hope haha).
