If DF has to break something down frame by frame and zoom in 300% for you to notice the difference, then it's pointless, and this is what you are going to be seeing a lot of out of the performance gap. This is not what gamers look for - especially non hard core gamers. These are not critics buying these consoles, most of them anyway, otherwise they would have gotten a PC and skipped over the Switch. So I know it seems nice that you can claim the difference, but believe me when I tell you that it won't be enough to rock the boat in the grand scheme of things.

That’s kinda their shtick, no? They kinda act as purveyors of truth in these dark times of war, a call out to those on both side of the screen, the builders and the onlookers...to the seed bearers and this who consume their fruit

I like DF in some instances, but when it has to do with miniscule things like this, it only becomes pointless. Still to this day, out of all of the ridiculous fps talk, I still couldn't give a care about no 60fps over 30fps because i still don't see the difference. That is just how ridiculous those debates are to me.

You could have argued the SX would run circles around the PS5 eight months ago and it would have seemed possible. Looking at it now and I think even the most die hard Xbox fanboys can see that that isn't the case. So if a game ended up running better at some point on the PS5, i couldn't put it pass that not being the case due to the small gap in performance (17%) ever in the history of console gaming and the ease of development on the PS5. After all, we saw this with the 360 vs PS3.

Having said that, i am simply delivering the message from that magazine.

Power obviously doesn't matter. It has obviously nothing to do with the brand of choice is weaker. 😭

PS fans were mad that the Control game on Xbox with the most recent update required a one time connection to the internet (not required on PS4). But where is the outcry that the PS5 is required to connect to the internet?

Except the difference in this gen is that the CPU's and GPU's are of the same architecture. Xbox has the faster CPU and GPU.

Not exactly the same, but ok.

Also, it doesn't matter if that gap is significantly smaller than before. I think that's what should be taken from this next-generation of consoles for the most part. I mean, I'm sure a few would love for it to mean more, but the reality is it doesn't.

Those TVs are still expensive for a lot of people. So if it doesn't ship with one, it won't be surprising. Sony didn't the same thing with the PS3 by launching with RCA cables. It's not a huge loss though, especially when everything else comes in the box standard.

Sony is pushing their 900/X90 along with the PS5 as/at 120 capable in their adverts

When these 2.1 TVs saturate the market enough it is usually when we start seeing the cables included, and because we are in a pandemic right now, i still believe we have a little while longer before that to takes place. On the flip side, just about everyone has a 4K TV right now. It was the same with the PS3 when it first launched while Microsoft went with the HDMI cable for the 360.
