It doesn't really indicate much of anything. People are just desperate for news and are jumping to any conclusions they can think of.

But that is Sony's fault for being so quiet. Its passed time for them to get the PS5 messaging started.

On top of all that, developers and publishers continue to praise the design of the PS5. Some have told GamesBeat that it is has a better architecture than any console in history. So studios may find it a joy to work with.

That would make Sony's marketing in this area better as it also does the things MS mentioned here plus a better SSD solution.

I have to agree. I think they are going for a more full proof solution here, and it makes sense based on the flow of this industry.

Here's what I expect from Sony and MS respectively.

Sony is going to have a good to great show next week. I expect them to take to heart what didn't work for MS's Inside Xbox show and have a wonderful showcase.

I then expect MS to blow the doors off their event in July. They should have taken the feedback from the disappointing Inside Xbox show, coupled with the the responses from this PS5 show and be able to craft one heck of a 1st party showing.

Which might be the point.
That's not a very good point because we can clearly see what happens when you speak too soon as apposed to you speaking when it is time. All people can do is speculate about what Sony’s console can or can do, but none of that means that's it's not being done.

Read the last half of the piece. This is about marketing and building excitement, which MS has been doing and Sony has not. I mean, at least unless you know more about what the author wants than he does.

All i see is the little that has been shown has built excitement on its own, and that's not just an option. I also know that by prematurely rushing things, it has had a negative effect on the situation as opposed to a positive one. So when i see comments like the one earlier, i see not a lot is being said from one competitor vs the other that didn't have very good results. What I take from that is just because one competitor isn't saying anything doesn't mean that they don't have it to show. So to avoid anything rushed like before, it's easy not to so anything until it is ready to be said. How is that a negative? Now, had Sony actually shown their hand and this were said, i could understand that because now we have a benchmark to go by.

So when people say they aren't feeling the hype for PS5, they're wrong? Got it. And to think I almost feel into the classic trap of thinking people had opinions of their own, but thankfully now I know that we all are free to our own opinions as long as they meet with your approval. Am I allowed to thank you or do I think that would be condescending?

"What we know about the PS5 so far is what’s inside the system and a few other details. Like Xbox Series X, PS5 features AMD hardware. This includes a Zen 3 CPU and a Navi GPU. The console also has a super-fast PCIe 4.0 SSD and a data-transfer architecture to match. But the acronyms and initialisms don’t really matter. What you need to know is that PS5 has significant more GPU power and a massive leap in CPU and data throughput compared to the current generation."

No. I am talking about the facts based on what you said about excitement. The little that Sony has shown has garnered attention. The tweets alone proves this. This is not just one person speaking.

Now, as far as the tweet from the individual earlier, he never mentioned anything about his opinion, so OBVIOUSLY he's speaking for the majority otherwise it never would have been used as a unanimous statement, right? So, if that is the case, which is clearly not too far of stretch to say, then it is up for debate since Sony hasn't said much of anything about their console. Which goes back to my point regarding moves that haven't been made. If nothing is said, then how are we to know nothing was made? We have no facts to prove that. What we do have, however, is a lot of speculation, but that is as good as an opinion. Ijs
