FH5 still has real time reflections in campaign. The vids are posted in the FH5 thread.
That's nice but so did Forza Horizon 4, no?

Maybe Val was right…… supporting previous gen hardware limits the design choices.
I mean Halo Infinite is on the OG Xbox One. I’m pretty sure RT wasn’t even a consideration. Lol
R&C takes a pretty good hit to resolution at RT and 60 FPS. It comes at a noticeable cost.
A few adjustments m8By the gods, a game about flying air planes made people go into such defense mode that they try to downplay the other two series that owns sonys counterparts... Come to think of it... Xbox wins most genres going forward lol;
Best action RPGs - elder scrolls, fallout
Best fps - Halo, Doom, Wolfenstein
Best online mp game - Halo
Best racing - Forza, FH
Best 3rd person action - Gears
Best looking game - flight simulator
Am I missing something?
The only thing Sony wins is single player action adventure games that lasts 20h at most lol
A few adjustments m8
Best action RPGs - The Souls games by a mile
Best fps - Destiny,Doom,BF (Halo hasn't been good/taken serious since 3/reachish BUT Infinite seems promising from what I played)
Best online mp game - See above about Stalo
Best racing -Forza Horizon series only
Best 3rd person action - Gears
Best looking SIMULATOR - Don't make me post how bad it actually looks. Demon's Souls/Rachet & Clank RA
Am I missing something? Just a few things
Infinite has been in the works since before the Series X was finalized. I don't think RT was thought of as plausible at the timeMaybe Val was right…… supporting previous gen hardware limits the design choices.

First party, so I think I was fairly accurate.A few adjustments m8

R&C has a few rail sections that are completely interactive and you have to jump to different sides as well as hit things for power ups, use the triggers to speed up to make time sensitive points etc it's totally interactive the entire time and they don't last for more than a minute or so, if you leave you'll die or fail so it's not even close to the same thing, if you play a shooter and walk away you'll be killed lol you have to control the character or stand still and be a target so those are two comparisons that don't make any sense.Might as well not play any shooters seeing as they all have some form of auto aim.
Or R&C which automatically makes you grind
And again it's an auto pilot mode.. which you have to turn on. Go play it with all assists off and see how important user input is.
It's probably them focusing on 60fps for the story and also still being tied to the old tech in a lot of ways. Slipspace isn't a totally new engine, that Schreier article pointed out how dated some of it is and what a pain it's been making things up as they go, you'd think a company that's made all of it's money from software would have had that sorted out.Infinite has been in the works since before the Series X was finalized. I don't think RT was thought of as plausible at the time
I know none of us thought it was happening back then. Still, it baffles me that MS isn't at least supporting it to some degree on Halo. It's flagship.
That said, I have no idea what is going on systemically in Infinite so it's hard to judge.
Yeah Flight sim is 1440p with temporal injection (totally fine to do that, not a complaint) and is 30fps with drops so RT would not have been an option. There's already RT in Xbox games but they are from 3rd party.
It's not a lame concern IMO. If 3rd party can get RT working with 60 FPS already, why won't MS's first party?
Flight Sim doesn't have it even in 30fps mode. FH5 will have it only in photo mode unless something's changed since I last read about it. No news on Halo Infinite supporting it. These 3 are pretty big first party titles yet so far only FH5 has it confirmed but only in vista mode and not during gameplay.
Is it a tools problem? Maybe once they are able to better figure out the tools then they can implement it into their games? But that doesn't make sense either since earlier games like RE8 and The Medium already does RT on the XSX. So the only logical conclusion is it's a design choice by MS but they're pretty mum on why they chose to do this so far but like some have said, maybe they just don't feel it's necessary in their driving and FPS genres.

You used the word BEST over and over.First party, so I think I was fairly accurate.
Sadly not any of the future ones. Oh and Resistance > Killzone. I hope Insomniac brings it back. Also Fallout,Doom,Elder scrolls and Wofenstein are on PS as well.
I have to disagree on some these...By the gods, a game about flying air planes made people go into such defense mode that they try to downplay the other two series that owns sonys counterparts... Come to think of it... Xbox wins most genres going forward lol;

Ok, but my point is that the RT takes a noticeable toll on resolution. Assuming Insomniac is one of the best devs using RT, the resolution still dips considerably and does so for Spiderman: MM as well. If it isn't the type of game that RT is going to be very obvious in, I'm not sure that it is worth including.4k+RT/30fps for fidelity, 1800p/60fps for performance and 1440p+RT/60 fps all performing virtually perfectly 99%+ of the time at 60. DRS is enabled in all 3 modes but according to NXGamer the res only drops in rare cases. In fact, when he tested he didn't notice any drops. He speculates it only does it in the most intense scenes during the later part of the game.

You wish you were, but reality came a knocking.I clearly wrote Xbox against Sony counterparts (exclusives should be the logical conclusion in anyones mind) and "going forward".
You guys can try to spin what I wrote how you want, I'm clearly fairly right though lol

Best 3rd person action - Gears
*Accuse other people of being in defensive mode, goes to post more defensively*
IMO if you are comparing games line up, you should compare the whole accessible library.

What are you talking about, hey own the IPs lololYou wish you were, but reality came a knocking.
I like how you think Doom and Skyrim have anything to do MS. And you want to claim folk are spinning....that is pot meet kettle level hypocrisy.
